   Judge Daryl Manning To Host Annual Veterans Outreach Court Nov. 4th

On Friday, November 4, 2022, from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., Judge Daryl Manning will host his annual Veterans Outreach Court for Hillsbor- ough County veterans.
The purpose of the event is to help veterans with minor is- sues pertaining to their driver’s license or other legal problems in the 13th Judicial Circuit.
The event will be held at the James A. Haley Vet- eran’s Hospital Primary Care VA Annex, 13515 Lake Terrace Lane, Tampa, FL 33637.
Any veteran planning on attending the event must register by Friday, October 21, 2022. Pre-regis- tration is mandatory.
Judge Manning began offering the service several years ago. The purpose of the program is to help veterans to get legal matters, such as the restoration of their driver’s li- cense and other misde- meanors taken care of. No felonies will be handled at the event.

He was a practicing and
supervising attorney in the Tampa Office of the Florida Attorney General for sixteen years, where he appeared in state and federal trial and ap- pellate courts.
Judge Manning ob- tained his Master of Laws (LL.M.) from the Army Judge Advocate Legal Center and School at the University of Vir- ginia in Charlottesville, VA, his Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from St. John’s University School of Law in Queens, N.Y. and his Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) from the University of South Car- olina, in Columbia, S.C.
Judge Manning was a Judge Advocate (JAG) in the United States Army and served several tours in support of the Global War on terrorism
in Iraq, Afghanistan, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait before re- tiring as a Lieutenant Colonel in 2015 after 30 years on active duty and in the reserves.
Among his numerous posi- tions, he served as a prosecu- tor, a criminal defense attorney and led a counter ter- rorism team consisting of law enforcement, SWAT and Intel- ligence agencies.
Prior to becoming a JAG, Judge Manning was an Ar- tillery Officer and fought in Operation Desert Storm. Be- fore attending college, he was an enlisted soldier working as a mechanic.
He was awarded two Bronze Star medals for his meritorious service.
Judge Manning was a member of both the National Conference of Bar Examiners and the Florida Board of Bar Examiners, where he served as chair from 2013 – 2015.
He was a member of a Florida Bar Grievance Committee in Hillsborough and is a certified Guardian ad Litem.
Judge Manning has been a mentor in the Big Brother Big Sister program for many years to a now teenager and serves on several boards in Tampa.
As an adjunct law profes- sor, he teaches Criminal Pro- cedure, Alternate Dispute Resolution and Military Law.
   Deadline To Register For November 8th Election Is October 11
 Voters in Hillsborough County have until October 11 to register to vote in the General Election November 8th.
Early Voting will take place in 26 locations in Hillsborough County from October 24 until Novem- ber 6, beginning at 7 a.m. and ending at 7 p.m., and voters can choose any of those locations during that time.
Last week, Hillsborough County Supervisor of Elections Craig Latimer sent more than 6,200 General Election ballots to absent military and overseas voters, and his office is preparing to mail more than 316,000 ballots to domestic voters on October 6.
Vote By Mail ballots are only available to registered vot- ers who have requested one.
The deadline to register to vote (if not already registered) for the General Election is Oc- tober 11. Florida voters have until October 29 to request that a ballot be mailed to them.
Supervisor Latimer
said, “I encourage voters who want to vote by mail to make their request as soon as possi- ble. There’s an online request form at VoteHillsborough.gov or voters can call my office to make their request.”
Voters will need to provide their Florida Driver License, Florida ID or the last four digits of their social security number when making the request,” he

couraged to visit VoteHillsbor- ough.gov/ web site to confirm that their information is up to date and to take a look at their sample ballot, so they know what races they will be voting on.
“Now is the time for voters to visit my website and make their voting plan.”
Residents can vote in per- son or by mail; vote early or on Election Day; or VoteHillsbor- ough.gov.
Election Day is November 8, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Voters who wait until Election Day must vote in the polling place as- signed to their precinct. More information, including the lo- cations of the Early Voting sites and an Election Day precinct finder, is available at VoteHills- borough.gov.
