turn for the worse between random killings and the gangs. The crew at Calvin’s Barbershop (Ice Cube, Cedric ‘The Entertainer’, Regina Hall, J. B. Smoove, Common and Nicki Minaj) come to- gether to bring peace to their neighborhood. This is the best of the Barbershop films, because the film tackles all the social issues. Really en- joyed it! The special effects making the animals look real were truly amazing. No. 1 at box office. Made $103M/ Foreign $219M. (Budget $175M). ****
The Boss - A billionaire (Melissa McCarthy) is sent to prison after she’s caught in- sider trading. When she re- turns from prison to rebrand herself, not everyone she messed over is so quick to forgive and forget. If you like the McCarthy style of com- edy, then this film is for you. Made $40M. (Budget $29M). ***
Eye In The Sky - Col. Katherine Powell (Helen Mir- ren) is in command of an op- eration to capture terrorists in Kenya. Her mission esca- lates when a girl enters the kill zone and the drone oper- ator (Aaron Paul) has to pull the trigger. What would you do? Excellent suspenseful film. Mirren should be nomi- nated for an Oscar as best ac- tress. Made $13M. (Budget N/A). ****
Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice: Batman (Ben Affleck) sets out to de- stroy Superman (Henry Cav- ill) because he feels the world has left Superman unchecked with super hero deeds. Mean- while, villain, Lex Luthor (Jesse Eisenberg) is creating a super monster called Doomsday to destroy Me- tropolis. Critics gave this film bad reviews, but I can’t see how! This film was action- packed and very violent with a shocking ending. 2 hrs./30 mins. long. Also starring Amy Adams and Laurence Fish- burne. Check it out in 3D- IMAX. Made $311M/Foreign $521M. (Budget $250M). Four Out Of Four Stars And Then Some.
The Perfect Match (2016) - A playboy (Ter- rance Jenkins) meets the beautiful and mysterious Eva (Cassie Ventura). After agreeing to a casual affair, Charlie wants more from the relationship. This lady (Eva) has game. A light comedy only for adults. Made $9M. (Budget N/A). ***
The Divergent Series: Allegiant - After destroying the Insurgents, Tris (Shailene Woodley) and Four (Theo James) must escape the wall that encircles Chicago. They soon discover the shocking truth of the world around them. If you are a fan of the Divergent Series, then you would like this one. Made $64M. (Budget N/A). ***
10 Cloverfield Lane - After getting into a car acci- dent, a woman (Mary Win- stead) wakes up in a fallout shelter with a man (John Goodman) who says the world has come under a widespread chemical attack by the unknown. The woman and a second man (John Gal- lagher) must figure out if this is real. This psycho/sci-fi thriller is well worth your time for horror fans. Must- see! Made $69M. (Budget N/A). ****
Zootopia - In a city of an- imals, a rookie bunny cop (voiced by Ginnifer Good- win) and a con artist fox (voiced by Nick Wilde) must work together to uncover a deadly conspiracy in the city. One of Disney’s best anima- tions with a mix of humor, drama and timely themes about prejudice and stereo- types. Kids and adults will enjoy this animated classic. Must see! Made $307M. (Budget N/A). Five Stars (classic)
Bold And The Beauti- ful - Liam goes back to work at Forrester Creations. Katie wants to speak to Brooke alone. Liam is determined to get his life back from Wyatt. Ridge becomes defensive when Katie tells him about her conversation with his former urologist.
Days Of Our Lives - JJ is concerned about his mom’s addiction. Fynn treats Kayla after she passes out, and warns her to take it easy. Ciara, Claire, Theo, and Henry decorate Edge of the Square for tomorrow night’s prom.
