In March, 1978, KC en- listed in the United States Army. The Army gave him the opportunity to travel to many exciting places throughout the world. He obtained the rank of Ser- geant before leaving the ac- tive army, continuing on in the Army Reserves for a while.
KC decided to move to the LA area after leaving the mil- itary, where he had a wife. The marriage only lasted a brief time. His early vocational was working in his learned trades he ob- tained from the Job Corp. He later became a teacher
with the LA County Unified School District, working with handicapped and troubled children. He performed this work, receiving many acco- lades for his outstanding work, until his health caused him to retire.
KC was the “jack of all trades.” He was adventurous and challenging. He loved the Lord.
Also one of his many tal- ents was drawing. KC was an awesome artist and was also very active in sports. He had a fond interest in playing the guitar, in his younger years.
The family as a whole will always remember KC for his wisdom and inspiring words: wanting us to be best that we could be in life. He wanted us to set goals and achieve them. He had a strong pas- sion against the greed and corruption in the world.
