State police said that a man who led them on a chase outside of Tampa died after going the wrong way down a highway and crashing his car.
State police troopers spot- ted a 2003 Lexus ES300 driving erratically on Inter- state 275 in Hillsborough County. Suspecting the driver was impaired, officers at- tempted to pull over the
Lexus. The Lexus then took off at a high rate of speed.
The vehicle drove to Tampa International Airport, where it stopped and allowed two female passengers to get out of the car. The driver then reversed the Lexus and intentionally crashed into the front of a trooper’s patrol car, Florida Highway Patrol said in a news release.
