Young Jeezy went into the Halloween weekend a happy camper, as he won a major vic- tory over a friend that was looking for $5 million.
Detetrius “Kinky B” Ellerbee said he and Jeezy were best friends and business partners, entitling him to half of Jeezy’s earnings. He pleaded his case stating they formed two record labels and several mixtapes.
Ellerbee stated in court that he was swindled out of royalties and other monies de- rived from Jeezy’s career. He also said they were close friends since 1995. The court agreed with Jeezy’s account of their relationship.

The Roots’ Questlove Preps His Second Book
Jerry Heller, 75, vehe- mently disagrees with his por- trayal in “Straight Outta Compton” and has filed a $110 million, lawsuit to legalize his unhappiness.
Friday, he formally filed a defamation lawsuit against Dr. Dre and Ice Cube for categorizing him as the “sleazy manager who took advantage of Eazy-E, Dr. Dre and Ice Cube.”
It is reported that NBC Uni- versal and the Estate of Eazy-
E were also included in the lawsuit.
According to Heller, he was grossly misrepresented. He says he was never fired by Eazy-E and refuted the notion that he withheld a $75,000 check from Ice Cube. He also alleges that they stole from his 2006 book, Ruthless: A Mem- oir, to re-create scene in “Straight Outta Compton.”
“Straight Outta Compton”
was one of the most successful movies this year.
