Straz Center Features ‘The Soul Crooners’
The Delta Dears and the entire Tampa Bay community took a stroll down memory lane as they lis- tened to The Soul Crooners.
The Soul Crooners performed tunes by great artists and groups like Gladys Knight, the Stylistics, the O’Jays, Commodores, Al Green, Jackson 5, Otis Redding, the Spinners, the Tempta- tions and so many more.

Three Grant Writing Workshops Planned
The Center for Non-Profit and Community Development and the National Institute for Strategic and Tactical Plan- ning will host free profes- sional grant-writing workshops during the month of July. The workshops will take place on three separate dates.
The first workshop will take place on July 25th, from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., at the West Tampa Public Library, 2312 W. Union Street.
The second workshop will take place on July 29th, from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., at the Chil- dren’s Board of Hillsborough County, 1002 E. Palm Avenue.
The third workshop will take place on July 31st, from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., at the Chil- dren’s Board of Hillsborough County, 1002 E. Palm Avenue.
The National Institute for
Strategic and Tactical Plan- ning workshops will describe the different types of grants available; describe the differ- ent types of grantors; identify research tools available to those seeking grants; describe the fundamental of grant writ- ing; describe the proposal writing process; describe the concept paper, letter of intent, and letter of inquiry process, and identify grant terms.
All three workshops will cover the same information. Seating is limited and anyone wishing to attend the work- shops must email wefind- grants@aol.com to confirm a seat and to obtain an invita- tion and workshop packet. No one will be admitted without an invitation.
