RAY WILLIAMS
MR. JAMES SESSIONS
Mr. James Sessions AKA “Uncle Pumpkin” passed away on Sunday, May 22, 2022. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, June 4, 2022, 2:00 p.m. at Ray Williams Memorial Chapel, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, Florida, 33606. Interment to fol- low in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. MASK RECOM- MENDED.
James was a native of Florida and was born to Jake and Karetta Sessions in Panama City, Florida, where he grew up. He was edu- cated in the public school systems of Graceville and Panama City, Florida. James moved to Tampa, Florida, in 1971, where he worked at the City of Tampa Sanitation Department.
James found his passion and worked many years plastering and stuccoing where he excelled in paving, especially stucco. Some of James’ creative stucco designs can still be found in the local community where he lived.
Lovingly called “Pumpkin” by family and close friends, James had an outgoing personality and an infectious smile, which drew many to his side. He was the best that ever did it and got away with it. He enjoyed traveling, fishing, listening to music, dancing, and spending time with family and friends. His favorite football team was the Minnesota Vikings. James will truly be missed by plethora of family and friends
James was preceded in death by: his father, Jake Sessions; ma- ternal grandmother, Ella Baker; paternal grandmother, Jossie Waters; stepfather, John Alexan- der; stepmother, Mattie Ses- sions; sister, Donna Marie Sessions; brother, Willie Lewis Brown; brother-in-law, Master Sergeant Leroy Green, Jr.; aunt, Amelia Gayle; cousins, Josh Johnson, Ronnie Johnson, and Jeannie Williams.

MS. ERMA ANITA WYLIE
Ms. Erma Anita Wylie passed away on Thursday, May 19, 2022. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, June 4, 2022, 11:00 a.m. at Greater Faith Temple COOLJC, 4259 South Florida Avenue, Lake- land, FL 33831, with Elder Willie J. Brown, Officiating. Interment will follow on Monday, June 6, 2022, in Sunset Memory Gardens, Thonotosassa, FL. MASK RECOM- MENDED.
Ms. Erma, a native of Tampa, FL, was born January 16, 1930, to James and Lessie Franklin. She attended the local schools of Hills- borough County and was brought up in the Christian Faith. Convert- ing early on in her young life, she joined Loving Hill Primitive Bap- tist Church in Seffner, FL, where she lent her musical talents as a pianist and vocalist.
She was a loving mother and Homemaker by trade, but she dedicated her life to serving the Lord and tending to her grand- children whom she loved dearly. Ms. Erma lived out the rest of her life in Upatoi, GA, where she resided with her daughter for the last 8 years.
She is preceded in death by: her parents, James and Lessie Franklin; husband, Hugh Jeffer- son (Bubba) Wylie, Jr.; daughter, Mae Lissa Johnson-Cooper; and siblings, Wilester Robinson, Rachael Johnson, James Leroy Franklin, Lillian Frazier, Lessie Anderson, June Dix, and Elector Crum.
She leaves to cherish her lov- ing memory: daughters, Yvonne Johnson, Erma Johnson (Gary Davison) of Upatoi, GA, and Debo- rah Ervin (Andre) of Lynchburg, VA ; sons, Tommy Lee Kenner (Beverly), Alton Leon Kenner, and Hugh Jefferson Wylie, III, (Esmirna); grandchildren, Lisa Wiggs, Gilbert Varnes, Syreata Sanders (James), Melvin Varnes (Lisa), Cassandra Varnes, Yolanda Richardson, Toshia Ken- ner, Palicia Kenner, Perry Bow- ers, De’Era Kenner, Regina Guess, Kevin Johnson, Taylor Mosley (Jerrel), Shekima Ervin, Ashley Kinder (Anthony), Andre Ervin, Jonathan Ervin, Catherine Ervin (Praizen), Sherida Jones (Glenn), Phillip Wylie, Brianna Wylie, and Michael Wylie; sister-in-law, Toynetta Williams; and a host of great grandchildren, family and friends.

MS. MORINE BERNICE MCGHIE
A celebration of life service will be held for Ms. Morine Ber- nice McGhie, who passed on May 22, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday June 4th, 2022 at Crosswind Church, 1510 W. Hillsborough Avenue, Tampa, Florida with Pastor John Ab- sher, Officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery, 4615 E. Hanna Avenue, Tampa, Florida.
Ms. Morine Bernice McGhie was born in Allman Hill, St. Catherine, Jamaica on June 30, 1958 to the parentage of Mir- riam McKay and Charles Pownell. After graduating from high school she worked in the fi- nancial institution field and subsequently migrated to Tampa, Florida where she resided. She later attended and graduated from St. Leo Univer- sity in Florida earning a Bache- lor of Arts in Business Administration. Over the last 30 years, she worked in the field of accounting and her last place of employment was with Giant Oil, Inc. Tampa, Florida.
Morine never met a stranger. She was well known for her hospitality, helpfulness, and her sense of humor. She was fashion-forward and en- joyed shopping. Morine was al- ways seeking the comfort of others and spent most of her time either as a caregiver or providing hospitality for others.
Her commitment to family was exhibited by her leaving the workforce to take care of her fa- ther for several years, as well as taking care of her grandnephew and niece. She spent much of her time assisting others with their immigration, income tax, social security filings and any matters that required the filing of documents. She was sought out for her wisdom and input.
She was quick witted in re- sponding to challenging situa- tions and for resolving complex situations.
Morine was quick to see the funny side and drew out the laughter from within others. She believed in giving to others and capitalized on every oppor- tunity to share what she had. Morine enjoyed travelling, meeting others and spent her spare time practicing her artis- tic skills in painting and needle work.
Morine will be greatly missed by those who had the privilege to know and love her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Pownell and Mirriam A. Reid; sisters, Claudette Myers-Ferguson and Althea Hawkins.
Morine leaves warm and loving memories to be cher- ished by her sister: Viris (Nathaniel) Williams; brothers, Nevil Pownell, Chavez Pownell and Carl (Andrea) Dunbar; nephews, Jerome Williams, Lloyd Jones, Jr, (Aryell), Mario Dunbar, Romario Dunbar, Javon Dunbar, Chase Toussaint and Jaimeson Williams; nieces, Aaliyah Dunbar, Skai Tous- saint, Alessia Dunbar, Althea Jones, other sorrowing rela- tives and friends.
There will be a viewing on Friday June 3, 2022 from 3:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Wilson Fu- neral Home, 3000 N. 29th Street, Tampa, Florida. Due to the current CDC restrictions; we are asking that you use the visitation as an opportunity to pay your final respect. For your convenience and safety, we have extended our visitation hours.
