$85K Lexus Day Before Being Shot
For New Team
Was the shooting of former Boston Red Sox slugger David Ortiz part of “love tri- angle” gone bad?
That’s what the Daily Mail is reporting: The woman be- lieved to be at the center of the David Ortiz shooting has been identified as Maria Yeribell Martinez Garcia. She is also the woman seen clashing with Big Papi's en- tourage in a waiting room hours after the failed $8,000 'hit' on the baseball star on June 9 in the Dominican Re- public.
A video of the incident cir- culating on social media shows a woman arguing with several other women before being thrown to the floor amid chaotic scenes.

The Boston Celtics’ offsea- son is not going at all the way Danny Ainge envisioned.
Al Horford had been talking with the Celtics about signing a 3-year deal to re- main with the team, but The Boston Herald’s Steve Bulpett says he is expected to leave to sign a four-year deal elsewhere.

The New Orleans Saints confirmed this week that they have begun discussing a pos- sible contract extension with Michael Thomas, and it sounds like they are prepared to make a massive commit- ment to him.
The Saints are “comfort- able” making Thomas the highest-paid wide receiver in football.
If that is truly the case, it would be tough to imagine the negotiations lasting very long. Odell Beckham, Jr. is cur- rently the highest-paid re- ceiver in football with an annual salary of $18 million.

Radetsky also declined to address a set of images circu- lating widely in the Domini-
can media that appear to show that Ortiz bought Gar- cia a luxury SUV the day be- fore the shooting.
The documents include a June 8 sales agreement for a Lexus RX that lists Garcia as the owner of the new car.
Mike Conley Reportedly Traded From Grizzlies To Jazz
MIKE CONLEY
The Memphis Grizzlies and Utah Jazz engaged in trade talks surrounding star point guard Mike Conley at the trade deadline last season, and they have finally worked out a deal.
The Grizzlies have agreed to trade Conley to Utah in exchange for Grayson Allen, Kyle Korver, Jae Crowder and draft compen- sation.
Conley, 31, averaged 21.1 points and 6.4 points per game last season. The scoring output was a career high. The Grizzlies have entered re- building mode after trading Marc Gasol to the Toronto Raptors last year, so it was only a matter of time before they parted ways with Con- ley.

Guaranteed money is obvi- ously the big thing with NFL contracts, but Thomas should be a happy man if the Saints are willing to give him a deal similar to Odell’s.
Khris Middleton has been one of the best players on a Milwaukee Bucks team that has turned into one of the best in the Eastern Confer- ence, and he wants to be com- pensated accordingly.
Middleton’s agent told reporters on Wednesday that the 27-year-old will decline his $13M player option for next season and become an unrestricted free agent. While
