Tyra Banks Launches Bod Positive Mini-Series
Tyra Banks continues her quest for world domination!
The supermodel, reality show host and entrepreneur is executive producing and star- ring in a multi-part docu-series called Beauty.
The new show, which is set to premiere on Quibi (an en- tertainment platform built for mobile viewing launching in April 2020), is totally on- brand for the two-time Sports Illustrated cover girl. Accord- ing to a press release, the mini- series will dig deep — its mission is to “break down bar- riers” and “challenge tradi- tional notions” of beauty, all while delivering a thought-pro- voking viewer experience.
Over the course of her nearly 30-years-long career, Banks has made body positiv-

old is all about defying indus- try standards.
“As I look into the future, I see radical changes in both how people ‘attain beauty,’ and how the world perceives beauty,” Banks said in a state- ment. “Our docu-series aims to expand and redefine the defi- nition of beauty as we know it, challenging why we accept cer- tain beauty parameters and re- ject others, and examining the beliefs behind those judg- ments.”
In May, Banks announced her decision to go by the name “BanX” during her latest Sports Illustrated cover story. The new moniker signifies her rebirth in the modeling scene after exiting in 2005 and “X- ing out cookie-cutter beauty,” the star told SI.
'Empire' Actor Bryshere Gray Arrested In Chicago
CHICAGO, IL – Actor Bryshere Gray, who plays one of the Lyon children on the FOX series Empire, was ar- rested on Thursday (June 13). TMZ says Chicago police pulled Gray over for a registration issue. Not only did the tags not match the car, officers quickly discovered he was driving his 2014 Rolls Royce without a li- cense or insurance.
Gray was arrested, booked on three misdemeanors and re- leased on a $2,000 bond, ac- cording to the Chicago Police Department. He was cited for driving without a license or in- surance and not having proper registration.
Empire is in its final sea- son. Co-creator Lee Daniels reportedly believes the show’s demise is due to the contro- versy surrounding Empire actor Jussie Smollett.
The actor/singer was ac- cused of staging his own hate- fueled attack in January and eventually charged with 16

felonies related to the incident. Prosecutors ultimately dropped all charges in March, while Empire was renewed for Season 6 — without Smollett.
