Clay Matthews Taunts QB Kaepernick: 'You Ain't Russell Wilson, Bro'
Clay Matthews mocked Colin Kaepernick's (inset) bicep-kiss- ing celebration after sacking the 49ers QB in the third quarter. "I was going to hit him with the predator, and then I had a light bulb go off in my head," Matthews said.
Paul George Not Happy About Being Move To The #4 Spot
Paul George did not enjoy his first preseason game at power forward.
The Indiana Pacers com- pletely uprooted their entire offensive scheme and the iden- tity of their team that had made them Eastern Confer- ence contenders when healthy over the past three years. And sure, in doing so the team elected to force their best and most important player, Paul George, to switch to a new position that brings with it more physicality and a differ- ent set of priorities. And yes, George made it pretty clear early on he wasn't "thrilled" with that idea, a sentiment he reasserted on media day, de- spite Larry Bird openly say- ing he doesn't care how George feels about it.
“I don't know if I'm cut out for a four spot,” George said after the Pacers' 110-105 pre- season loss to the New Orleans Pelicans, a game in which he started matched up against 6- foot-11 All-Star Anthony Davis.
“I don't know if this is my position. We'll sit and watch tape and I'm sure I'll talk with coach (Frank Vogel). I'll talk with Larry (Bird) as well to get both their inputs on how the first game went but...I'm still not comfortable with it re- gardless of the situation. It's still something I have to adjust to or maybe not. Or maybe it's something we can go away from.”
George was facing arguably the best power forward in the league in Anthony Davis. Of course he struggled, he was playing the best power forward in the league.
Still, George is basically calling it quits on this idea one game in. How serious was he? He told the media that he's not the only one with problems with the changes, a pretty seri- ous thing to levy.

SANTA CLARA, Calif. -- Colin Kaepernick didn't play like an elite quarterback on Sunday against the Green Bay Packers, and the strug- gling 49ers starter heard about it -- not just from the booing fans at Levi's Stadium, but also from one of his opponents.
TV cameras on the Fox broadcastpicked up sound of Packers linebacker Clay Matthews shouting at Kaepernick: "You ain't Rus- sell Wilson, bro."
It happened during the fourth quarter of Sunday's 17- 3 win by the Packers.
That came after Matthews sacked Kaepernick in the third quarter andmocked his
trademark biceps-kissing cele- bration.
Matthews said after the game that the celebration was all in fun.
"Nah, it's not planned," Matthews said. "I was going to hit him with the predator, and then I had a light bulb go off in my head. It's just having fun. We're a bunch of kids out there running around and hav- ing fun at each other's ex- pense."
However, Matthews was not asked about the Wilson comparison.
Kaepernick finished 13- of-25 passing for 160 yards and an interception. He rushed for 57 yards on 10 car- ries.
LeBron Weighs In On Tristan Thompson Holdout
Tristan Thompson and LeBron James.
Panther DB Pre-Planned Endzone Dance
It’s more than obvious that Tristan Thompson may have overplayed his hand in his one-sided standoff with the Cleveland Cavaliers. Thomp- son, a restricted free agent, declined to accept Cleveland’s qualifying offer of $6.9 million on Thursday evening, he re- mains a training camp hold- out, eager to sign either a three-year, $53 million deal or a maximum five-year, $94 million contract.
The Cavs are offering five years and $80 million. Le- Bron James, previously on the mum regarding the im- passe, let his agents talk him into hopping on Instagram to
send a message on Saturday night, after he and Thomp- son attended the Miami-area wedding of a mutual friend: LeBron further elucidated on his role in the back and forth after practice on Sunday.
"I'm not here to talk about numbers, things of that na- ture, because that's for them, for both sides to figure out. The last thing you need is a distraction when you try to make a championship run. And we have that right now. And it's unfortunate for both sides that we're going through it right now as a team. It's not an excuse, we will be ready to go but hopefully something happens in the near future."
Even before the opening kickoff of the Carolina Pan- thers' 37-23 win against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers here, Panthers cornerback Josh Norman was already plan- ning his end zone celebration.
He said he spoke with a league representative to vet his dance, which he calls "riding Delta" after his Saddlebred horse who has his own Twitter account). The referees thought otherwise. Norman was penalized for "riding Delta," ostensibly because the dance was fine but using the ball as a prop is not, but the bigger story is that a corner- back was so confident he'd score on the Bucs that he was making plans before the coin toss.
But it wasn't quarterback Jameis Winston continuing to throw at Norman. It was the first pass of the game, and Norman ran it back for six just like Tennessee Titans cor-

nerback Coty Sensabaugh did in Week 1 here.
Norman did the same, jumping a route and running an interception all the way back before "riding Delta." He explained his "tip" as "forma- tions that we study during the week; we just understand and know where we gotta be on the field, and once we're there, we take it."
