Police Search For Bank Robbery

Two Charged With Robbery Of
The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is currently searching for a bank robbery suspect. The crime took place last Friday, around 11:41 a.m., at the Fifth Third Bank, 13304 U. S. 301, in Riverview.
According to police, a Black man entered the bank. He gave the teller a note de- manding money and fled the scene in an undetermined di- rection after receiving the money.
The man is described as being 5’8” to 6’, and weighs between 130 and 150 pounds.

DAJOB ATKINS
Two men were arrested Saturday and charged in con- nection with robbery. The rob- bery took place at the AT&T Store, 21561 U. S. Highway 19, in Clearwater.
According to police, the suspect entered the store around 3:43 p.m. He then left the scene after the robbery in a gray Nissan SUV. An officer observed the vehicle and mon- itored it from a safe distance.
When it ended up on Rocky Point Drive, both Tampa Police and the Clear- water Police converged on the vehicle and took one of the

suspects into custody. The other suspect escaped, but was captured a short time later.
The men were identified as 25-year-old Dajob Marquis Atkins, and 23-year-old Riley Anthony Harris, both of Tampa.
Both men were booked into the Hillsborough County Jail. Atkins is being held on a $200,500 bond.
Harris is being held on a $200,000 bond.
No injuries were reported as a result of the crime, police said.
Suspect
The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is conducting two death investigations. Both took place over the weekend.
In the first investigation, deputies responded to a wooded area near Dale Mabry Highway and Waters Avenue.
Deputies were flagged down around 1:45 p.m., Saturday. The individual informed deputies that a man was dead in the wooded area. The area appeared to be a homeless camp.
Police do not suspect foul play and the man was trans- ported to the Hillsborough County Medical Examiner’s Of- fice to determine his identifica- tion. No additional information was available.
In the second investigation, the case is suspicious. Deputies responded to 8424 Sheldon Road on Sunday. The location is behind the Fresco Y Mas Su- permarket in the retail plaza.
Details were limited in the case. Detectives have identified the victim as 28-year-old Charles L. Corns. The inves- tigation is continuing.
Police Identify Victim In Deadly Home Invasion
SHANNON COLLINS a.k.a. SHANNON CADDO
Police have identified the man found dead at a home in North Tampa. He has been identified as 25-year-old Shan- non Collins. Collins was also known as Shannon Caddo, of Thonotosassa.
Deputies are investigating a shooting that has left Collins dead and another injured. The shooting took place in the area of 12966 Morris Bridge Road, early Thursday and appears to be a home invasion.
A spokesperson for the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office said when deputies ar- rived at the scene, they discov- ered one adult man dead inside. Another adult man was trans- ported to a local hospital with gunshot wounds.
No additional information was released and the investiga- tion is continuing.

With Student
Detectives with the Clear- water Police Department ar- rested a former teacher last week. He was charged with two counts of lewd and las- civious battery. He is accused of having sex with a student.
According to police,
Marselia Anthony Smith
was a teacher at Dunedin Middle School when the inci- dents began on April 1st. Po- lice said some of the crimes took place in his apartment and others at the school. The victim is a 14-year-old male student.
The Pinellas County Sher- iff’s Office has charged Smith, 34, with 1 count that allegedly took place in their jurisdiction. The incident took place in February 2018.
The investigation began when Smith initially began to communicate with the vic- tim through social media. Smith was not the student’s teacher, but Smith knew him from the school.

According to police, the victim stated that Smith en- gaged in inappropriate sexual activity with him at the school after school hours.
Clearwater Police Depart- ment Detectives were able to corroborate the victim’s statements and arrested Smith. They then notified the Sheriff’s Office.
Smith, who taught Cho- rus, is no longer employed with the Pinellas County School District.
