MS. CAROLYN ELIZA FLOWERS
A Homegoing Celebration for Ms. Carolyn Eliza Flowers of Tampa, who passed away, Mon- day, October 16, 2017, will be held on Saturday, October 21st, 1 p. m., at Greater Friendship Mis- sionary Baptist Church, 3325 E. Emma Street, Rev. Ronnie Mur- ray, Pastor, officiating. The inter- ment will be in Orange Hill Cemetery, 4900 E. Chelsea Street.
Carolyn Eliza Flowers was born February 20, 1963 in Carra- belle, Florida to the late Willie Boone and Lucille Flowers (Jimmy). She attended the schools of Hillsborough County, graduating from Hillsborough High School, class of ’81 and Erwin Technical School. She al- ways worked and had been em- ployed by Times Customer Service, Casper’s Company and the State of Florida, Department of Transportation. She was a member of Greater Friendship M. B. Church.
She was preceded in death by: her parents and special friends, Vivian Smith and Alice Hicks.
She leaves to cherish her pre- cious memories with: her chil- dren, Carlos A. Boyer, Calvin J. Boyer; loving and supportive daughter, Christal E. Boyer and Christopher M. Flowers; grand- children, Destiny, A’Niyah, Jor- dan, Zarina, Carlos, Jr., Jeremiah, Justice, Serenity and Shawn; siblings, Donnie Flowers, Curtis Flowers (Debbie), Gwen- dolyn Flowers, Micheal Flowers (Leslie), Michelle Flowers, Leon Boone and Idella Thomas; loving and supportive companion, William “Bill” Lloyd; aunts, Pa- tricia Harris, Willie Mae Donald- son; nieces and nephews, Debra Wilson, Terrance Hester, Shan- non, Karrissa, Delena, Jada; the Morris family; extended family; and a host of other family mem- bers; dear friends, Carolyn Sim- mons and family, Mike Saling and family, Alene Harris, Mitchell Brown, the Thomas family, co-workers of Depart- ment of Transportation, Gilbert, Bowers, DuPree and Boyer fami- lies, all who will dearly miss her.

MR. DOUGLAS ARCHIE
Mr. Douglas Archie of Tampa passed away Monday, October 9, 2017. Funeral services will be con- ducted Saturday, October 21st, at 11 a. m. at First Baptist Church of Progress Village, 8722 Progress Boulevard, Dr. Sam Maxwell, Sen- ior Teaching Pastor, Minister Todd Hammond, officiating and Minister Dwayne Sanders, Sr., eu- logist. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Ceme- tery.
Mr. Douglas Archie was a na- tive of Lake County, FL and a resi- dent of Tampa for 79 years. He was a graduate of Howard W. Blake High School and a member of First Baptist Church of Progress Village. Mr. Archie re- tired as a Multi-Trade worker for Hillsborough County Fleet Man- agement Department after 30 years of service, where he was the first employee to be recognized as “Employee of the Year.”
He was preceded in death by: his father, John Archie; mother, Erie Bacon; stepfather, Larry Bacon; daughter, Eunita Archie; brother, Willie Fred Archie; aunts, Altamese Comer, Edythe Johnson, Annie Johnson Himes, and Zelma Johnson Williams; un- cles, Theodore Johnson, Leonard James, “LT,” Joe B. Johnson, Willie James Johnson, James Johnson and grandmother, Bessie Floyd Johnson.
He leaves to cherish his mem- ory: his dedicated and loving wife of 50 years, Cora L. Archie; five loving children, Wanda Archie, Douglas John Archie, II, Vickie Johnson, Larry Lamont Archie and Courtnay Archie; 7 grandchil- dren, Douglas John Archie, III, Leerenzo Johnson, Lance Archie, Diamond Archie, Deenisha John- son, Leejah Johnson and Dillon Archie; 6 sisters-in-law, Juanita Sails, Josephine Royal, Anita Scott, Aretha Scott, Voncile Scott and Shirley Archie; brother, Lawrence Anderson and wife, Rita Anderson; 3 brothers-in-law, Bernard Scott, Nathaniel Scott, John Scott; aunt, Johnie Mae Gar- ner; uncle, Lester Johnson (Mary) of Austin, TX; godchildren, Eldika Andrews-Powley and Belinda Jen- nings; lifelong and devoted friends, Charles Wright, James “Fish” Miller, Lizzie Pearl Banks, Dallas Domaine and the entire Progress Village Crew; a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. Douglas was an inspira- tion to the Youth especially to the Progress Village Park for all sports and the Tampa Hurricanes Little League. He was also a good neighbor and leader in the com- munity.

MS. INEZ C. LUMSDEN
A Homegoing Celebration for Ms. Inez C. Lumsden of Tampa, Florida who passed away on Thursday, October 12, 2017 will be held Saturday, October 21st, 2 p. m. at Aikens Funeral Home, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd., Rev. Perry Sylvain, offi- ciating. The interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. Inez C. Lumsden was born May 3, 1937 in Tampa, to the late Chandler and Bertha Cato.
Inez was a native of Tampa, she retired as a devoted domestic worker. She was preceded in death by her parents.
She leaves to cherish her pre- cious memories with: her chil- dren, Donald McNabb (Melody), Willie Lumsden (Sharon), John- nie Harrison (Sheryl), Watt Har- rison (Barbara) and Sylvia Buckhanan (Ernest); grandchil- dren, Donald McNabb, Jr., Daryl McNabb, Willie Lumsden, Jr., Tashima Harrison, Aaron Fludd, Kavaun Harrison (Corlissa), Kiya Harrison, Kenya Harrison, Cha- sity Comer Brown, Selena McN- abb White and Erica Hugan; sisters, Viola Walker and Lula Smith; and a host of great-grand- children, other family and friends that love and knew her.

A Homegoing Celebra- tion for Mrs. Frances Bryant Williams of Tampa, Florida, who passed away on Monday, October 16, 2017 will be held Sat- urday, October 21st, 10 a. m. at St. John Progressive M. B. Church, 2504 E. Chipco St., Rev. Dr. Bartholomew Banks, Sr., pastor, officiating.
Frances Bryant Williams is the daughter of the late Leo E. Bryant and Katie B. Graham. Frances and the late John H. Williams, Sr. are the parents of the late John Henry Williams, Jr., and Gloria Jean Williams- Pendleton.
She was preceded in death by: her son, John Williams, Sr.; sisters, Evelyn Mifflin, Rudean Lindsay, Barbara Ratcliffe; brothers, Arthur Alexander, James Alexander, Jerome Alexander; grandson, John L.
