MRS. EUGENIA LUCIA BROWN- DURANTE
A Homegoing Celebration for Mrs. Eugenia L. Brown- Durante of Tampa, Florida, who passed away on Friday, May 11, 2018, will be held Thursday, May 24th, 6 p. m. at Aikens Funeral Home, 2708 E. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Andrew Atkinson, eulogist, of- ficiating.
Eugenia was born in Frankfurt, Germany on Au- gust 5, 1981 to military par- ents, Larry and Agnita Brown. Eugenia was a dedicated wife, mother, daughter, sister, friend. She was a graduate of Tampa Bay Tech, class of 1999 and went to Erwin for her LPN. She was a nurse who loved her profession. She was a member of Nassau Street Church of Christ and was em- ployed by Hillsborough County Schools as the nurse at Sheehy Elementary. She en- joyed gardening, computer games, blogging and going to the park.
She leaves to cherish her memories with: her loving two sons, Joseph (7 years) and Josiah (18 mths); estranged husband, Joseph Tyrail, Sr.; parents, Larry and Agnita Brown; brother, Chris Brown; sister, LeCrystal Williams (Mark); grandmothers, Lucia Combie of St. Croix and Ber- nice Smith of Tampa, Florida;
aunts,
(Bernard),
(Eddie),
(Kevin) of Texas and Jen Com- bie of St. Croix; uncles, Cedric Brown of Tampa, Florida, Michael (Marcella), Simon, Christopher (Valerie) and Robert Combie (Liz) of St. Croix, Saturminus Combie (Joyce) of Las Vegas, Oswald Combie of Springhill; two nephews, Tyree and Mark, Jr.; and a host of other relatives and friends; special people in her life include, Brittany Walker, Sophonie Satine, sis- ters-in-law, Janice, Andrew and Rogenia Atkinson, Brenda Clark, Geri Moorer-Pierre and family, Nassau Street Church of Christ congregation, Miss Vickey, Ron Ladie and Joseph Washington of North Car- olina, Mrs. McCants and the entire staff at Sheehy Elemen- tary School.
The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Thursday, May 24th from 5 to 6 p. m.
The family and friends are asked to meet at the chapel on Thursday evening for the serv- ice.

MRS. BETTY JEAN CARTER
Mrs. Betty Jean Carter of Tampa, Florida, passed away on May 15, 2018 at her home after a lengthy illness. Funeral service will be held on Thurs- day, May 24, 2018, at 11 a. m. at Keeney United Methodist Church, 7736 Destin Drive, Tampa, Florida (33619) with Rev. Ron Hubbard, officiating.
She is survived by: her hus- band of 42 years Levi Carter; one son, Anthony (Tony) Carter; one brother, Cecil Stenson (Sharon); a host of nieces, nephews and other rel- atives and friends.
Mrs. Betty Jean Carter was a native of Opelika, Alabama. She was a resident of Tampa since 1980. Sister Carter was a former employee of St. Joseph’s Hospital for 17 years and she later was an Instructor as an OR Technician at Everest University. She was a longtime member of the St. Andrews United Methodist Church Sewing Guild and other sewing clubs.
Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the service on Thursday at the church from 10 a. m. – 11 a. m.

Pastor Menyan Andrews Adams Passes After Extended Illness
       A well-known Tampa na- tive, a faithful spiritual war- rior, renowned musician, anointed singer, gifted preacher, teacher, motiva- tor and pastor, Menyan An- drews Adams, transitioned to her heavenly home on Wednesday, May 15, 2018 after an extended illness.
Pastor Adams served as the founder and pastor of the New Dimensions of Faith Fellowship for 10 years until her health began to fail; and for many years, she was the Minister of Music for various churches in Tampa, Thonotosassa, St. Petersburg and West Palm Beach.
Pastor Adams was truly blessed by God to expound upon the Word of God with great power and authority, sharing a prophetic word from the Lord. She was also a gifted musician and singer who could stir, ignite and lift the spirits of those lis- tening in the services. She had a love for young people encouraging them to pursue their dreams and inspired them to proudly acknowl- edge that, “I am a dream builder, born by the Spirit

of the Master Dream Builder. I am unique, one of a kind, individual created for the expression of things.”
Menyan graduated from Middleton High School, class of 1971 and received her Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Pastoral Counsel- ing from Interfaith Univer- sity in Macon, Georgia in 2006.
Menyan was a licensed cosmetologist, nail techni- cian and had the gift of flo- ral arrangements.
Left to cherish fond memories of Menyan are: her devoted husband of 25
years, Anthony; her two children, Evelyna and An- thony, II; her mother, Eve- lyna Richardson; her brothers and sister, Lemuel Andrews, III (Beverly), Howard Andrews and Sharon Andrews Wilson (Leon) and a host of other sorrowing relatives and friends.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Wil- son Funeral Home and services are planned on Sat- urday, May 26, 2018 at 11 A. M. at St. John Progressive Missionary Baptist Church, 2504 Chipco Street, Rev- erend Dr. Bartholomew Banks, Sr., Pastor.
