MR. CLARENCE GREEN
Clarence Green was born to George (deceased) and Mildred Floyd Green, July 17, 1938 in Sweet Water (Bristol), Florida.
Special thanks to the late Emmanuel and Maggie Marlowe Floyd who invested many years in his development and up- bringing; a product of St. Stephen’s AME Church.
Mr. Green was a resident of Tampa for many years. He at- tended the public schools of Lib- erty County and Hillsborough County. He was employed as a truck driver for the City of Tampa and Lyons Fertilizer Co. for a number of years.
He leaves to cherish many memories with: wife, Lois Walker Green; children, 2 sons, Clarence Green, Jr. (Mary), and Michael; 3 daughters, Malissa G., Valarie G. Lawson (Darrell) and Belinda Gale; 13 grandchil- dren, Dominique, Monique, Kendra, Kimberly Brewer, Mi- lana, Xaviar, Kiyonna Robin- son, Alonzo Hunt, Ashley Stubbins (John), Atonio Green, Damian, Ricky Brewer, and Janielle Wiggins; 36 great- grands; mother, Mildred Green; 2 sisters, Leevonia Wright, and Mildred King (Otis); niece, Lyvonia Green; 3 nephews, Ben- jamin Echols (Victoria), Otis King Jr., Derrick King (Sheronne); aunt, Alice Dobey; sisters-in-law, Lucille Brewer and Dorothy Walker; and a host of many other relatives and friends.
The family will greet and meet friends and relatives at Melech Hospice House, 11125 N. 52nd St., Temple Terrace, FL 33617 on Monday, July 17, 2017 at 1 p. m.

Ms. Danyall “Dee-Dee” Black- man, age 43, was born in Or- lando, Florida on December 12, 1973. She relocated to Tampa in 1976 with her mother and sib- lings. She was the daughter of Betty McCloud Phillips and the late Dennis Blackman. Danyall’s bright smile and humble pres- ence would always light up a room when she entered.
There will be a viewing on Fri- day, July 14, 2017 from 5 –8 p. m. with the family present to re- ceive friends from 5 – 6 p. m. at Wilson Funeral Home, 3000 N. 29th Street, Tampa, Florida. Friends are asked to assemble at the church on Saturday for the service at approximately 1:45 p. m.

MRS. MARY E. FILMORE
Mrs. Mary E. Filmore, 88, passed away on July 4, 2017 at Tampa General Hospi- tal’s Palliative Care Unit in Tampa, Florida. Home- going service will be held on Sat- urday, July 15, 2017 at 11 a. m. at Springhill Missionary Baptist Church, 8119 E. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd., Tampa, FL, Rev. Eugene Garnett Sr., Pas- tor. Interment will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.
She was preceded in death by: her parents, John and Carrie Horton; sisters, Annie Candace Horton-Barnes, Ella Nadine Horton, Katherine Hill and Johnnie Mae Henley; brothers, Ed Horton, Theodore Horton and Billie Stewart; niece, Cleo Whatley; and nephew, Chris Henley.
Mary is survived by: her sons, Carl (Pat) Horton, Sr. of Rockville, Maryland and Ronald (Sherette) Filmore of Rockledge, Florida; daughters, Sandra Har- ris and Victoria Filmore of Tampa, Florida; grandchildren, Montina (Keith) Shepard of Tampa, Florida, Carl (Kristen) Horton, Jr. of Austin, Texas, Tycie (Eric) Watkins of Tampa, Florida, Jermaine Filmore of Panama City, Florida, Quatras (Odell) Mitchell of Tampa, Kat- rina Falls of Tampa, Lakeisha Kinsey of Tampa, and Perry Fil- more of Orlando, Florida; 16 great-grandchildren; 5 great- great grandchildren; sister, Car- rie Jones of Alma, Georgia; 17 nieces and nephews; sister-in- law, Camora Horton of Dorsey, Mississippi; special family friends, Zelma Benton-Williams and family; close friends, Ruth Vicks, Verdell Rogers, Allie Mae Rollins, Eartha Miller and the Shuler family; godson, Ric Rollins; and goddaughter, Theresa Green and other rela- tives and friends.
Mrs. Filmore was born on September 2, 1928 in Griffin, Georgia to John Horton and Car- rie Stewart Horton. Mary grew up in Griffin, Georgia. She later moved to Tampa, Florida in 1955. Mary had 8 siblings.
Mrs. Filmore later married Perry Filmore, who preceded her in death. Mary worked as a care- giver for The Lindell and Linde- man families for over 20 years and they were still visiting her up until the time of her death.
Mary was baptized at Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church in Tampa, under Rev. Dr. C. P. Epps, where she served on the Usher Ministry. She recently joined St. John Progressive Mis- sionary Baptist Church Tampa, under Rev. Dr. Bartholomew Banks, Sr. She was a member of the Brown Buddies Social Club and Weekly Senior meeting group at St. Matthew Missionary Baptist Church in Tampa, Florida.

MRS. CORA LEE GOVAN ‘CARRIE’
Homegoing Celebration for Mrs. Cora Lee Govan, “Carrie,” who entered into eternal rest on July 2, 2017 will be held on Satur- day, July 15, 2017 at 11 a. m. at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, 3005 E. Ellicott Street, Tampa, Florida 33610, Rev. Larry J. Mouton, Jr., Pastor, officiating and Bishop Michael W. Lewis, Sr. Interment will be held at Sunset Memory Gardens Cemetery, 11005 US Hwy 301, Thonotosassa, FL 33592.
Mrs. Govan was preceded in death by: her husband, Elmer Govan; son, Willie J. Henderson; daughter, Gennie Mae Hender- son; parents, John and Carrie Horne.
She leaves her legacy and love to be cherished by: her step- daughter, Nora Roberts of NJ; son/grandon, Kent Henderson (Lashon); granddaughters, Min- ister Monique Henderson Wilson (John), Mary Stokes, Janette Brooks (John) of NJ, Tomeko Young (Robert), Denise, and Christi of NJ; grandsons, Eddie Roberts, Ronnie, David, Gregory, of NJ and Derrick Griffin; great grand, Frankie Corbett, Tequila Owens, Dassan Henderson (Shanita), Najiyah Jasmeen (An- drew), Ra’Shayah, Jerry, Jervon, Tamar, Robin, Robert, Sr.; 16 great-great grand; godson, Calvin Bush; and goddaughter, Wanda Buie; and a host of nieces and nephews, very close cousin, Lou Wells; and a very close friend, Ms. Pearl Mae; and other sorrow- ing relatives and friends.
Mrs. Cora Lee Govan was born January 29, 1926 in Clop- ton, Alabama, to the late John and Carrie Horne. She was a longtime resident of Tampa, FL. She was known in the Jackson Heights area as the “Frozen Cup Lady,” which she served the Fair Oaks Community over 40 years.
Mrs. Govan enjoyed cooking for her family and we consider her the best cook in the Tampa Bay area. She always reverenced God, and loved her family, and when she felt overwhelmed, she would call out “O’ Lord.” Early in her years Mrs. Govan attended St. James Primitive Baptist Church in Tampa, FL, where she served as a Deaconess many years. Later she joined New Hope Missionary Baptist Church in Tampa, FL until her health began to fail her.
There will be a viewing on Fri- day, July 14, 2017 from 5-8 p. m. at Hillsboro Memorial Funeral Home, 2323 W. Brandon Blvd, Brandon, FL. The family will re- ceive friends from 6-7 p. m. in the Chapel. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the church on Saturday at approximately 10:45 a. m.
