Back To School Shoe Drive
Mr. Rechi Butler is standing proud with these young graduates, Jadon Robinson and Da- juan Lawrence. These youths have been in the program since their middle school years. These young men made their moms proud raising them without a father present.
Jadon has a full ride at FAMU majoring in bio-medicine. He desires to be a neurosurgeon. Dajuan will be attending Edward Waters College on a baseball scholarship.
Get It Straight Foundation and Irene & Joe’s Tree and Lawncare with some of his youth working this summer to earn back to school money.
Get It Straight Foundation held its back to school Nike shoe drive. Youths received shoes in Pinellas, Hillsborough, Manatee, Dade, and Duval Counties, and Louisiana.
“We are just humbled that God gives us the privilege to serve oth- ers. We know the economy is bad for some folk and we are just blessed to be a blessing with what God has given our hands to do,” Butler says.
