Aqib Talib’s Brother Surrenders In Fatal Shooting At Texas Youth Football Game
YAQUB TALIB
The brother of former NFL cornerback and broad- caster Aqib Talib turned himself into authorities on Monday in connection with a fatal shooting at a youth foot- ball game, according to NBC News.
The Lancaster Police De- partment announced on Sun- day that Yaqub Salik Talib was wanted as a suspect in the shooting that took place after a reported disagreement between a coaching staff and an officiating crew at a youth football field at Lancaster Community Park on Satur- day.
Yaqub Talib then turned himself in voluntarily at the Dallas County Jail on Mon- day.
TMZ obtained video of the alleged incident showing a man arguing with an official. The situation escalated with multiple adults taking part in a brief skirmish on the field before shots are heard fired. The video briefly cuts out be- fore showing multiple people tending to someone fallen on the field. Police didn't identify the alleged victim.
Aqib Talib's attorney confirmed in a statement that Aqib was present at the scene of the shooting. Aqib was not named in the police report.
"Aqib was present when this unfortunate incident oc- curred and is very distraught and devastated over this ter- rible loss of life," the state- ment reads. "He would like to convey his condolences to the family of the victim and to everyone who witnessed this unfortunate tragedy."

Accuses L.A. Deputies
Of Sharing Kobe
Crash Scene Photos
Vanessa Bryant's at- torney accused Los Angeles County officials of exploiting Kobe Bryant's death and sharing photos from the scene of his helicopter crash "for a laugh" in opening ar- guments of a civil trial that started last Wednesday.
Bryant is suing the county for invasion of pri- vacy, arguing that Los Ange- les County sheriff's deputies and firefighters took and shared grisly photos from the scene of the 2020 crash that claimed the lives of her hus- band and Los Angeles Lakers icon Kobe Bryant, their 13- year-old daughter Gianna and seven others.
Bryant's attorney Luis Li argued in his opening statement that the photos were taken on cell phones and shared in nonprofes- sional personal settings that he described as "visual gos- sip." Bryant wiped away tears as Li made his case.
"January 26, 2020 was the worst day of Vanessa Bryant's life," Li said in a Los Angeles U.S. District Courtroom. "The county made it much worse. They poured salt in an open

wound and rubbed it in. ... "They were shared by deputies playing video games. They were shared re- peatedly with people who had absolutely no reason to
receive them."
Mira Hashmall, the
lawyer for the county, argued that the photos were a neces- sary tool for the first respon- ders on the scene.
"Site photography is es- sential," Hashmall said.
They each made their case in front of a jury of 10 that was selected earlier Wednesday and includes a nun, a TV producer and a college student. Potential ju- rors who claimed strong feel- ings for either Kobe or Vanessa Bryant or Los An- geles Sheriff Alex Vil- lanueva were struck from the pool.
