Hillsborough County Schools Get Laptops
This cart filled with laptops is being unloaded at Strawberry Crest High School.
On Thursday, thousands of new laptop computers arrived at 128 Hillsborough district schools, thanks to a $1.7 mil- lion grant to upgrade technol- ogy in classrooms.
The computers, all Hewlett-Packard brand, have 15-inch screens and came in on charging carts with the wire-
less infrastructure needed to make them work.
On Thursday, the cam- puses who got the computers were elementary schools Edi- son, Ippolito, Morgan Woods, Roosevelt and Ruskin, as well as Turner/Bartels K-8, Jen- nings Middle and Strawberry Crest High.
