Two U. S. Army Enlistees Complete
Church Installs Officers For 2015

The Holy Ghost Church of God Purchased With His Blood, Inc. installed officers for 2015. These ministers are: Elder Rodney Frank, Evangelist Yvonne Frank, Minister Marian Sharron, Minister Ronesha Brewer, Bishop Isaac Andrews, Pastor; Minister Conlee Ray, Evangelist Pamela Fenner and Elder Walter Waitress.
Deacons and Deaconess: Deacon Dontae Epps, Deacon Ly- dell Kerbo, Deacon Keith Clayton, Bishop Isaac Andrews, Pas- tor; Deacon Paul Avinger, and Deaconess Sheila Brewer.
Two U. S. Army enlistees with ties to the Tampa Bay Area recently completed Basic Combat Training.
Their respective gradua- tion ceremonies were held at the military base at Fort Ben- ning, Georgia.
Specialist Matthew J. Clark, Jr., and Private Shawn Matthews, Jr., completed a nine-week course where they received instruc- tions in drill and ceremony,
weapons, rifle marksmanship and bayonet training, chemi- cal warfare, field training and tactical exercises, armed and unarmed combat, military courtesy, military justice, physical fitness, first aid, and Army history, traditions, and core values.
Specialist Clark is the son of Loretta and Matthew Clark, of Apollo Beach. His brother is Chris- ten Clark.
Specialist Clark gradu- ated from Lakewood Ranch High School, in Bradenton, in 2007. He continued his edu- cation at the University of South Florida and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in 2012.
Private Matthews is the son of Toshia A. Willia, of Lakeland, and Shawn L. Matthews, of Tampa. He graduated from Kathleen High School, in Lakeland, in 2014.
Basic Combat Training
Military Enlistee Completes Basic JAG Course
Recently, 1st Lt. Matthew D. Aycox gradu- ated from the Judge Advo- cate General (JAG) Officer Basic Course. The graduation ceremony took place at the Judge Advocate General’s School, in Charlottesville, VA.
The course is a 17-week introduction to the practice of military law, with the first six weeks of the course being taught at Fort Benning, in Columbus, GA.
During Phase I, the stu- dent learn about officer re- sponsibilities and basic soldier skills, field training exercise, deployment skills and weapons familiarization.

Phase II of the course is completed at the Judge Advo- cate General’s School in Charlottesville, VA., where students receive instruction in substantive military law, research, and communication skills in writing and speaking.
Officers also study per-
sonnel law, military criminal law, and claims. In addition, they learn about legal assis- tance at military installations to include; government en- tered agreements and con- cepts of federal fiscal law; international law, including the law of war which is taught to fellow soldiers; and the ef- fect that foreign laws and in- ternational agreements have on the Army, soldiers and family members.
Lt. Aycox is a JAG as- signed to 174th Lod, Miami, FL. He graduated from Gainesville High School in 2005, and earned his Bache- lor’s Degree from the Univer- sity of South Florida in 2010.

Need A Job: Home Depot Hiring 1,350 People In Area
Home Depot said Tuesday it is looking to fill nationwide more than 80,000 positions for Spring, 1,350 of them in 30 stores across the Tampa Bay area.
Spring is the busiest season for the Atlanta-based home improvement giant as consumers focus on sprucing up their homes and lawns as temperatures rise.
Available positions range from sales and cashier to opera- tions and online order fulfillment, the company said. Jobs in- clude permanent part-time and seasonal positions.
Applications must be submitted online on the Home Depot website.
