Alleged Gunman Arrested In Fatal Shooting
On Saturday, while on rou- tine patrol, Hillsborough County deputies discovered two bodies. Both victims had suffered upper body trauma.
A spokesperson for the Hills- borough County Sheriff’s Office identified the victims as Ms. Lara Kuchar, 45, and 52- year-old Tommy Skeens. Neither of the victims had a current address.
As the investigation unfolded, police identified Ricky Fitzgerald Hathorn, 46, as a “person of interest” in the in- vestigation.
During the course of the in- vestigation, it was determined that Hathorn had been with the victims during the early morning hours of November 28th. They identified Hathorn as a person of interest and reached out to the community to locate him.
Hathorn was located on Monday afternoon and detec- tives conducted an interview.
According to police, after being read his rights, Hathorn reportedly admitted to beating the victims to death. Police had located a large piece of wood that was saturated with blood at the scene.
