MOTHER JULIA MAE SAFFOLD GRAHAM
Homegoing celebration for Mother Julia Mae Saffold Graham of Thonotosassa, FL, who passed on Thurs- day, November 26, 2015, will be held on Saturday, Decem- ber 5, 2015 at 11 a. m. at Mt. Olive M. B. Church, 4008 East Cayuga Street, Tampa, with the pastor, Reverend Michael V. White, officiat- ing. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mother Graham was pre- ceded in death by: her par- ents, Charley Saffold and Rena Mae Bass; husband, Reverend Freddie Lee Gra- ham; brother, Arthur Lee Saffold; and sisters, Essie B. Saffold, Robbie Lee Saffold, Mary Lee Caine and Mamie Donald.
Mother Graham leaves to cherish memories of her with: 6 devoted children, Lil- lie B. Grubbs (Columbus), Willie F. Graham, Elaine Goodson, Reverend Anthony B. Graham (Jacqueline), Elder Annie Glover (Deacon James Glover), and Billy Graham (Renee), all of Tampa; 19 grandchildren and 52 great grandchildren; 2 brothers, Eugene Saffold of Gordon, Alabama, and Curtis Saffold, Sr. (Cather- ine) of Gordon, Alabama; 4 sisters, Lillie Mae Hunter (Herbert) of Jenkins, Geor- gia, Ola Mae Burgman of West Palm Beach, FL, Sara Lee (Jimmie) Smith (raised by Mother Graham) of Gor- don, Alabama, and Rena Mae Wade of Gordon, Ala- bama; a host of nieces and nephews; godchildren, Renae Freeman, Lorenzo Howard, Jr., Danedria and Debra Perry; special friends, Sister German, Mother James, Mother Vicks and Sister Verdell Johnson; and many other close family friends.
Mother Julia Mae Saffold- Graham was born on Janu- ary 26, 1933 in Panzey, Alabama, to the late Charley Saffold and Rena Mae Bass. In her earlier years of life, she attended Philadelphia school in Gordon, Alabama. Mother Graham gave her life to Christ at an early age at- tending New Philadelphia MB Church, under the lead- ership of the late pastor, Reverend B. F. Magwood.
She was joined in holy matrimony to the late Fred- die Lee Graham and moved to Tampa. She and her hus- band joined Oak Hill MB Church, under the leader- ship of the late pastor, Rev. Levi Nelson. In 1959 she be- came a member of Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church, under the leadership of Dr. C. P. Epps, until his retire- ment.
She continued faithful service under the leadership
of Pastor Michael V. White until her illness. She served faithfully on the Mother’s Board, the Deaconess Board, the #2 Choir, Sunday School teacher, and was the Director of the #4 Usher Board.
The visitation will be held on Friday at Exciting Faith Alive 5705 E. 32nd Ave., Tampa, from 5-7 p. m. with the family present from 6-7 p. m.
Friends are asked to as- semble at approximately 10:45 a. m., Saturday at the church.

DEACON PAUL KEARSE, SR.
A celebration of life serv- ice for Deacon Paul Kearse, Sr., who was called home to be with the Father on Sun- day, November 29, 2015 will be held on Saturday Decem- ber 5, 2015 at 11 a. m. at New Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, 2511 E. Columbus Drive, Tampa, with the Pas- tor, Rev. Larry L. Roundtree, II, officiating. Interment will follow in Orange Hill Ceme- tery.
Paul was preceded in death by: his father, George Kearse; his loving wife, Brenda Kearse; son, George Kearse; four brothers, Danny, Joseph, James and Marcell Kearse; and a sister, Dolly Mae Kearse.
He leaves behind: son, Paul Kearse, Jr. (Erica Co- lumbia); two daughters, Yolanda (BerChaun) Clark and Courtney (Darius) Reed; five grandchildren, Aleena, Myrah, Darius Reed, Jr., Desmond Reed and Morgan Clark; his loving mother, Pauline Kearse; three sisters, Gloria Johnson, Georgia Mae Kearse and Doris (Marcus) Wilson; five brothers, George, Jr. (Lou) Kearse, Earl (Bobby) Kearse, Thoris (Shirley) Kearse, Preston (Mary) Kearse, and Eddie Kearse; a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
A beloved husband, father, brother, son, grandfather and friend, Paul was born in Blackville, South Carolina, on February 5, 1948 to the parentage of George and Pauline Kearse.
Paul was a member of St. Mary M. B. Church for over 15 years, before moving his membership to New Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church.
Paul was a graduate of Dunbar High School Class of 1969 in Fort Myers, FL, he later moved to Tampa in 1973.
Paul married Brenda Gra- ham on August 10, 1974 and had two sons and two daugh- ters.
There will be a viewing on Friday, December 4, 2015 from 5-8 p. m. at Wilson Fu- neral Home, 3000 N. 29th Street, Tampa.

BROTHER CHARLES BYRD
Homegoing services for Brother Charles Byrd, who was called home to be with the Lord on Thursday, Octo- ber 29, 2015 in Largo, FL, will be held on Saturday, De- cember 5, 2015 at 2 p. m. at Peace Progressive Primitive Baptist Church, 2628 E. Lake Avenue, Tampa, Elder Timo- thy Kemp, pastor, with Rev. David Jones, officiating. In- terment will follow at Orange Hill Cemetery.
He was preceded in death by: his parents, Ernest, Sr. and Annie Mae Byrd; sisters, Annie Ruth Jones and Ella Kelly; brother-in-law, Ben- jamin Jones; and sister-in- law, Margaret Walker.
He leaves to cherish fond memories of him with: a de- voted, loving and caring sis- ter, Laura Jones; 5 dedicated and loyal brothers, Deacon David Walker, Edward Byrd, Sr., Earnest Byrd, Jr. and wife, Sandra, Rayfield Byrd, and Ulysses Uqdah and wife, Cassandra; uncle, Samuel Sanders; sister-in-law, Pecola Byrd; brother-in-law, Robert Kelly; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Brother Byrd was born in Quincy, FL, to the late Ernest Byrd, Sr. and the late Annie Mae Byrd on April 3, 1952. He confessed Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age and became a member of St. Elizabeth M. B. Church in Quincy, FL. Upon moving to Tampa in 1965, he remained faithful to his faith and fel- lowshipped with several churches in the Tampa Bay area.
There will be viewing from 5-8 p. m., Friday, December 4, 2015, at Wilson’s Funeral Home.
