Woman Offers Diet Consulting For Those With Diabetes And Kidney Disease

A health-conscious Bay area woman would like to help some individuals who are troubled with diabetes and kidney disease. This infor- mation is free for individuals who have Medicare Part B and a referral from a physi- cian.
Ms. Linda VanAllen Evans provides Medical Nutrition Therapy for diabetes and kidney disease, which is covered 100% by Medicare Part B Medical Insurance.
The prevalence of these 2 ailments in the Black community is very high, Mrs. Evans said.
Her role as Medical Nutrition Therapist is to assist with a healthy diet for those with the diseases.
“A diet for kidney disease is one that is low in sodium, phosphorous and protein,” she ex- plained. A kidney diet stresses the importance of consuming high quality protein and limiting fluids. Some kidney diets may also call for lim- ited potassium and calcium,” she continued. “Every person is different and requires a diet to be tailored to their individual needs,” she further stated.
According to Mrs. Evans, many persons suffering with these diseases have no idea that there is help. With her expertise, she is offering

Mrs. Evans’ credentials include: Bachelor
