7 Reasons Why Tequila Is Good For You
Being In The Same Room As This Herb Can Help Improve Memory
New Recall Includes Frozen
Foods From Walmart, Trader Joe’s,
Here are the 7 main ways that tequila can help your body:
1. Lowers Blood Sugar -
Agavina is a natural sugar that comes from the agave plant used to produce tequila. It trig- gers insulin production and therefore lowers blood sugar.
2. Lowers Your Choles- terol - It’s widely known that increasing fiber in your diet helps in the reduction of cho- lesterol levels.
Similar to fiber, agavins lower triglycerides in the blood and levels of cholesterol as de- termined by researchers in Plant Foods For Human Nutri- tion.
3. Helps Fight Colds -
Back in the 1930s, doctors in Mexico used to promote this tequila concoction (sounds like a Margarita?) to fight off the common cold: .5 ounce of tequila; .5 ounce of agave nec- tar; .5 ounce of fresh lime juice.
4. A Natural Painkiller -
Tequila has been proven to di- late the blood vessels, which results in better blood flow and can help minimize pain levels.
5. It’s Diabetes Approved
- The high amount of sugar that is present in alcohol is a big issue for diabetics. But dia- betics can pull up to a bar and

order a shot of tequila because another positive attribute that tequila offers is that it has sig- nificantly less sugar than other spirits. Which in turn has much less of an impact on blood sugar.
6. Built-In Bloat Fighter - Raise your glass and cele- brate this because tequila helps to regulate the absorp- tion of fat in your intestines.
7. It Helps Cleanse Your Colon - Researchers at Mex- ico’s University of Guadalajara have claimed that blue agave found in tequila helps deliver drugs to the colon, which helps to treat illnesses such as Crohn’s disease, colitis and ir- ritable bowel syndrome. There’s even research that points to relief from colon can- cer.
Much of the things you read online about improving mem- ory are about brain foods like fish and other foods high in omega-3’s like spinach. But re- searchers found that the incred- ible, edible benefits of rosemary can help with your memory as well.
Scientists in the U.K. say the herb is linked to better memory, and that simply being in a room diffused with the smell of rose- mary improved memory test scores. That’s right; no special recipe or lotion needed, just a room full of the smell of rose- mary. That 15% is equivalent to remembering whether or not to take your medicine or if you left the stove on.
Co-researcher for the study Dr. McCready says, “It sup- ports our previous research in- dicating that the aroma of rosemary essential oil can en- hance cognitive functioning in healthy adults, here extending to the ability to...... remember events and to complete tasks in the future. Remembering when and where to go and for what reasons underpins everything we do, and we all suffer minor failings that can be frustrating and sometimes dangerous.”
All Dried Out: Natural Remedies For Dry Eyes
Dry eyes are common and can be caused by hormonal changes, aging or other irri- tants in which we come into contact on a daily basis. Good eye care practices are essential in order to protect your eyes and improve the quality of your tear production. The good thing is that there are many natural remedies which you can use to help soothe your dry eyes.
Here are some which you can do immediately:
If you want to unplug blocked tear glands, apply a warm com- press to your eyes.
Use a mild wash or water mixed with baby shampoo to massage the base of your eye- lashes while your eyes are closed. When you are done, rinse thoroughly.
Blink frequently. There are many benefits to blinking espe- cially if you are sitting in front
of a computer screen con- stantly, watching TV, reading, or using a mobile device which can agitate your eyes with pro- longed use. Blinking helps you to spread fluid across your en- tire eye surface. This also helps with dryness in your eyes.
Protect your eyes with sun- glasses. Sunlight can cause your eyes to become dry or irri- tate already dry eyes.
Improve Your Environment
Your environment can cause dry eyes. However, these subtle changes to your environment can help prevent or manage dry eyes:
