MRS. BARBARA JEAN BIRT
The Homegoing Celebration for Mrs. Barbara Jean Birt of Tampa, Florida, who passed away on Sunday, July 30th, 2017 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio, will be held Saturday, August 12, 2017, at 11 a. m. at Anointed Word Church, 1709 W. St. Joseph St., Reverend Roy Hayes, officiating. The inter- ment will be in Rest Haven Me- morial Park Cemetery.
Ms. Barbara Jean Birt was born November 12, 1933 in St. Petersburg, Florida to the late El- liott Birt, Sr. and the late Daisy Thomas. She later became a res- ident of Tampa, Florida. She at- tended local public schools and graduated from Middleton Sen- ior High School in 1952. Prior to retiring, she was employed at the University of South Florida for over 30 years. Her life was dedi- cated to service —which she un- selfishly gave to her church, family and friends.
Barbara was predeceased by: her husband, Robert Cooke, whom she married in 1954.
She leaves to cherish her memories: her loving son/nephew, Otis Birt, Jr. and wife, Eva of Grove City, Ohio; her brothers, Otis Birt, Sr. of Tampa, and Elliott Birt, Jr. and wife, Velma of Hartford, Connecticut; her aunts, Margaret Cannedy of Tampa, and Ruth Collins Martin of Washington, DC; her nephews, Elliott Birt, III of Tampa, and Kendall Crowe of Hartford, Connecticut; her nieces, Valadia Birt Batchelor of Tampa, Renee A. Birt of Hart- ford, Connecticut, Vickie Shep- ard and husband, Montique of Rosamond, California, and Car- olyn Ford and husband, Ter- rance of Tampa; she is also survived by loyal lifetime friend and loving spiritual sister, Jacquelyn Gatling of Tampa; and a host of great nieces, great nephews, cousins and friends.
The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, August 11th, 2017, from 6 p. m. - 8 p. m. The family will be receiv- ingvisitorsfrom6p.m.-7p.m. only. The family and friends are asked to meet at the church on Saturday for the service.

MRS. JACQUELYN DAVIS
A Homegoing Celebration for Mrs. Jacquelyn Davis of Tampa, Florida, who passed away on Sun- day, August 6, 2017, will be held on Saturday, August 12th, 11 a. m. at Mt. Tabor Missionary Baptist Church, 2606 W. Grace Street, Pastor T. D. Leonard, officiating. The interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Jacquelyn M. Davis was born August 24, 1956 in Donal- sonville, Georgia to Leroy Hunter, Sr. and Juanita McKenney Hunter. She was educated in Tampa, Florida and graduated from Tampa Bay Technical High School. She was baptized at Mt. Tabor M. B. Church at an early age, and enjoyed singing in the Youth Choir.
Jackie married Norris Davis, Sr. in 1974. She began her career at MetLife and spent over 40 years in the insurance industry, retiring from Cigna Insurance Company. In addition to her corporate ca- reer she was also an entrepreneur as one of the founding owners of Davis Auto Sales and a key mem- ber of the executive board.
She was extremely devoted to her family and would do any and everything she could for them. She always looked forward to at- tending and planning family events. She loved gardening and was well traveled throughout the United States and Europe. Jackie was a natural leader in the family and at work. She was good at solv- ing problems and always seemed to come up with just the right an- swer. She was also a good cook and never missed an episode of “Survivor,” one of her favorite TV shows. Jackie was strong in her faith which kept her going every day from beginning to end.
She was preceded in death by: her beloved father-in-law and mother-in-law, Mr. James Davis, Sr. and Mrs. Martha Davis.
She leaves to cherish her pre- cious memories: husband, Norris Davis, Sr.; daughters, Tamika Davis and Brittany Davis; step- son, Norris Davis, Jr.; parents, Leroy Hunter, Sr., and Juanita McKenney Hunter; sisters, Lucian Hunter (Roosevelt), Ida “Susie” Collier (Dennard); brother, Leroy Hunter, Jr. (Cynthia); in-laws, Sylvia Walker (Eddie), April Davis (Emmett), Ronald Davis, Kenocer Donald Davis, and Daryl Davis, all of Tampa and Steven Davis (Debra) of Dallas, Texas; aunts, Ludine Johnson of Georgia, Maime Hunter, Mary Hunter, Eloise Brown, Emma Hunter, Georgia Mae Stringfield, Bonnie Barber, Lavelle Renaye Shaw, and Pinease Nobles (Roy); uncles, Willie Singletary, Jr. (Evelyna), Elder Jadie Singletary (Josephine), Sol Singletary (Betty), and Marvin Singletary (Carol), all of Tampa; goddaugh- ter, Shayla “Noomp” Thomas; dear friends, Rhudine Curry and Julie Jackson, and neighbors, the Peterson, Brown, Hollis and De- lafield families and Charlie Diaz and family; and a host of nieces,

MRS. LYDIA HAYNES
A Homegoing Celebration for Mrs. Lydia Haynes of Tampa, Florida, who passed away on Sunday, August 6, 2017, will be held on Saturday, August 12th, 2 p. m. at Greater New Friendship M. B. Church, 3325 E. Emma Street, Pastor Ronnie Murray, with Rev. James Bivens, officiat- ing. The interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.
Lydia was born July 16, 1955 in Tampa, Florida to the late Edd and Bettie Mae Bivens. She at- tended the local schools of Hills- borough County. She loved to dance, eat cake and ice cream, shopping and spending time with her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by: her siblings, Edward, Phyllis and Lillie Bivens.

MRS. INELL BROWN-LEWIS
A Homegoing Celebration for Mrs. Inell Brown-Lewis of Tampa, Florida who passed away on Thursday, August 3, 2017, will be held Saturday, August 12th, 2 p. m. at Aikens Funeral Home Chapel, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd., Rev. Lea- tricia Williams, officiating.
Ms. Inell Brown-Lewis was born on August 29, 1944 in Mari- anna, FL, to the late Ms. Essie Mae Borders and Mr. Essie Howard.
On August 3, 2017, approxi- mately 5 a. m. at Tampa General Hospital, God called Inell home to rest from her labor. Although Inell was not affiliated with any local church, she was a stead-fast believer in Christ. She always en- couraged her children to estab- lish a personal relationship with God through daily praying.
Inell was educated in the Jackson County Schools in Mari- anna, FL. Her purpose for mov- ing to Tampa was to provide her children with unlimited experi- ences to grow and thrive; gaining opportunities that she was never provided as a child. She made many sacrifices in order for them to achieve their dreams. Inell was known for her loving and com- passionate spirit as a mother, grandmother, great-grand- mother, and friend to all she knew. She was especially pas- sionate about the well-being of her 4 children.
Inell Brown Lewis was pre- ceded in death by: her parents; a daughter, Deborah Brown; and her youngest son, Kevin Brown.
Inell gave of herself inces- santly without hesitation and was the persona of being vivacious and heart-warming. She lived and walked in the essence of op- timism exemplifying love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, and temperance (Galatians 5:22-23).
Her kind and humble spirit will be eternally missed by: her wonderful children; a faithful daughter, Cassandra Brown (Curtis Peters); two passionate sons, Frankie Lee Brown, Jr. (Annagret Ellison) and Lorenzo Howard; 7 grandchildren, Henry Brown, Shaunecy Moore, Keny- atta Brown, Page Brown, Do- minique Howard, Octavia Showers, Rolisha Brown and Miguel Nash; 2 great-grandchil- dren, Ani’yah Greggs and Dar’ianna Greggs; special friends, Ada Gray; Willie Mae Davis-Lane, Irene Harris, Tonya Lovett, Frankie Lee Brown, Sr. (Fannie Mae Hannah) and Her- bert Lewis; and a host of cousins and sorrowing friends.

Allene Jackson Roberts ac- cepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and savior at an early age. Al- lene was born July 17, 1950 in Cordele, Georgia to the late L. J. Crumbley and Pecolia Felton. Allene loved praying for people and encouraging them. She also enjoyed reading the Bible and doing crossword puzzles.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; brother, John L. Jackson; sisters, Lueverne Jackson, Earlene Bell Sermons and Lula Bell Jackson; uncles, Joseph, Willie, Richard, Her- bert and Bobby Lee Miller.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories with: her life-time friend, Ernest Roberts; children, Kelvin E. Roberts (Rieko) and Lakisha Roberts- Rodriguez (Adrian “Chico”); grandchildren, Jasper D., Jas- mine A. and Jewel M.
