Local Band Wins Prestigious Creative Loafing Award For 12th Year

The Black Honkeys have once again been voted “Best of the Bay,” for their R&B, Funk, Soul, and Rock and Roll music.
The band, located in the Tampa Bay, has been going strong since 2001. This is their twelfth year winning in this category.
Florida Sentinel-Bulletin’s
own Terry Clark is a proud
member of the band, joining in 2009.
The band was selected to perform in Cedric The En- tertainer and Ashanti’s new movie titled Plus One, featuring their new hit song, What’s The Price?, written and produced by the Justice League, the Grammy Award winning producers.
The band’s leader and founder, Brother Phil, stated, “We strive to be the best.”
