Indiana Pacer Forward Stabbed;
Knicks Coach And Wife Divorce; She Says She Didn’t See It Coming
DEREK AND CANDACE FISHER
The end of a marriage is a reality that Derek Fisher’s wife says she didn’t see coming.
Media sources report that after 10 years of marriage, Candace Fisher says she was “blindsided” when the New York Knicks head coach filed for divorce last month. The fil- ing means the end for the Fishers, who were married in 2005. The couple has twin 8- year-old children, Tatum and Drew.
Signs of trouble with the Fishers came one month after they celebrated their 10th an- niversary. It was then that Derek Fisher allegedly re- moved all of his clothing, per- sonal items and computers from the couple’s home in New York as well as stopped taking Candace’s calls. From there came the divorce filing, which Derek Fisher initiated on March 18.
Court documents reveal that the 40-year-old former NBA star wants to keep the twins in New York to live and attend school, despite the fact that all of their family, friends and schoolmates being located in L.A.

The venue was holding an event featuring Detroit rap up- start Dej Loaf. Around 4 a.m. a man, later identified as 22- year-old Shezoy Bleary, stabbed the NBA player out- side of the club. Copeland’s wife Katrine Saltara was also slashed during the melee.

Lawrence Tynes, a for- mer kicker with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, has sued the team, saying unsanitary conditions at the team’s facility led to him contracting MRSA.
MRSA (Methicillin-Resis- tant Staphylococcus Aureus) is an infection caused by a strain of staph bacteria that’s become resistant to the antibiotics commonly used to treat ordi- nary staph infections. Most MRSA infections occur in peo- ple who have been in hospitals or other health care settings, such as nursing homes and dialysis centers. When it oc- curs in those settings it’s known as health care-associ- ated MRSA.
Another MRSA infection occurs in the wider community among healthy people. This form often begins as a painful skin boil. It’s spread by skin-to- skin contact. At-risk popula- tions include groups such as high school wrestlers, child care workers and people who
live in crowded conditions.
Kentucky sophomores Andrew Harrison and Aaron Harrison have de- cided to enter the 2015 NBA Draft and are expected to for- mally announce their plans soon, a source told CBSS- ports.com on Wednesday af- ternoon.
The brothers have already settled on an agent.
At least five other Wildcats are strongly considering en- tering the NBA Draft -- specif- ically Willie Cauley-Stein, Karl-Anthony Towns, Trey Lyles, Devin Booker and Dakari Johnson. Cauley-Stein basically said after UK's loss to Wisconsin on Saturday that he's leaving school while Towns and Lyles are each considered near locks to declare.
Tynes has claimed the in- fection led to the end of his career, and he

Booker and Johnson are also leaning toward leav- ing, according to a source. But nothing is decided or certain with those two. If one of the seven listed Wildcats does re- turn to school, however, a source said that Johnson is the most likely to do so.

expected future earnings. Tynes signed with the Bucs in 2013, but never kicked for the team after being diag- nosed with MRSA at the start
of training camp.
The lawsuit claims the Bucs
failed to disclose and actively concealed ongoing incidents of the infection among other indi- viduals who used and visited the facilities. He also alleges the Bucs failed to employ nec- essary sterile techniques and routinely left therapy devices, equipment and surfaces un- clean.
Tynes said he almost had to have his toe amputated be- cause of the infection, and un- derwent three surgeries.
