Masjid An-Nasr Invites High Ranking Muslim Chaplain To Address Community
Masjid An-Nasr invited Colonel Khallid M. Shabazz, Ph.D., DMN, to deliver the khutbah (sermon) for the Jummah (community) Prayer.
A native of Alexandria, Louisiana, Colonel Shabazz recently became the Head Chaplain of the U. S. Central Command at Tampa’s MacDill Air Force Base. He comes with impressive credentials and is highly educated. He holds 2 Doctorate degrees and 4 Mas- ter’s degrees. He has numerous awards for his service to our country. Col. Shabazz has several firsts. He is the first Muslim Chaplain assigned at 3-Star and 4-Star Command Centers.
Col. Shabazz is married to the former Rhonda Wright, has 3 chil- dren and 4 grandchildren. (Pho- tographs by Julia Jackson)
