City of Tampa police offi- cers are investigating a homi- cide after a man was found dead in a car on Tuesday morning.
The body was found after police went to the area of North Elmore Avenue and East Adalee Street around 8:25 a.m. where flies sur- rounded a parked car.
Police found a man dead inside. Originally, it did not appear to be foul play, but the medical examiner said the man had a possible gunshot wound to the neck that could not be seen due to decompo- sition. It is not known how long the man was in the car. The victim had not been identified at press time.
DEUNTAY ROBERTSON
Robertson as he went to meet the undercover officers. The officers conducted a pat- down search of Robertson and recovered a loaded firearm, a digital scale, co- caine base, and eutylone. Robertson later confessed to possessing the firearm. At the time of this offense, Robertson had multiple prior felony convictions and therefore is prohibited from possessing a firearm or am- munition under federal law.

MARQUVIUS DIXON
Last week, 26-year-old
Marquvius Trevon Dixon,
of Clearwater, was indicted for possessing a firearm as a con- victed felon. If convicted, Dixon faces a minimum mandatory term of 15 years, and up to life, in federal prison. The indictment also notifies Dixon that the United States intends to forfeit the firearm traceable to his of- fense.
According to the indict- ment, on July 8, 2021, Dixon possessed a firearm. At the time of the incident, Dixon had multiple prior felony con- victions for the sale of cocaine and possession of cocaine. As a previously convicted felon, Dixon is prohibited from pos- sessing a firearm under fed- eral law.
U. S. District Judge Charlene E. Honeywell sentenced a 30-year-old Sarasota man to 6 years in federal prison. He was charged with possessing a firearm and ammunition as a convicted felon.
The Court also ordered Deuntay Robertson to for- feit a Bersa Thunder 380 CC, .380 caliber pistol and four rounds of ammunition. Robertson had pleaded guilty on March 11, 2022.
According to court docu- ments, on February 9, 2021, law enforcement officers were working an undercover operation in Sarasota. Robertson approached the undercover law enforcement vehicle and offered to sell the undercover officers cocaine base. Robertson instructed the undercover officers to meet him around the corner.

A Tampa woman has been arrested for stealing $148,000 from her employer, Periodontal Health Center.
The office of Florida At- torney General Ashley Moody stated that Cathy Green, 48, was being
charged with scheme to defraud.

According to the AG’s Of- fice, Green worked as an of- fice manager for Periodontal Health Center. According to the complaint, Green was ac- cused of using access to pay- roll software to steal over $107,000 worth of unap- proved overtime since 2019.
The investigation also showed that Green also used the company’s Amazon account to make personal purchases, totaling over $41,000.

Green was booked into the Hillsborough County Jail on a $15,000 bond on June 30, 2022 and has since been released.
