BY LEON B. CREWS Sentinel Staff Writer
Snap Ford has been in- volved in the entertainment industry since 1998. Because he allowed himself to be dis- tracted along the way, he’s found himself reloading sev- eral times.
“I’ve been blessed to maintain my connections through the years, regardless of whether I was in place or not. It’s great that people will still work with you in spite of problems you’ve had along the way.
“I’m working with an artist known as Relli, and this past Sunday we had an album release celebration. Our social medial is also up and running, and we expect to be at full steam in the next month or two.”
Working under the com- pany name, 4 Ever Ballin Records, Ford and Relli have offered a special treat for this new album by charg- ing only $3.00 for the first month.
“It’s great to go back to the days of vinyl records,” said Ford.
“We’ve gotten a lot of support from people inside and outside of the industry,
RELLI
and we get a lot of love from our brothers on lockdown.”
Ford and Relli said it’s important that everyone has a voice and if you’re not loud enough, let them be your voice.
“Nothing reaches people better than music, and if it’s the right music, you’ll get a loyal following and you’ll be very successful,” said Ford.
“We’re aware that today’s music is sending out the wrong message to the young people, and we want to change that. We want to give them an alternative and we’re sure they’ll love it.”
Relli started in 2002, andin2009hehadtotakea step back and get some things straight.
“The album I have out now is a complete turn from where I was. I know this is going to be successful.
“I want to focus on the people and bring the real to the real people. This is so im- portant to me that I actually gave being a first class pro- ducer.”
Snap Ford and Relli said they want to mix the old with the new, and if they’re successful they plan to bring a lot of local artists with them.
