Former King High School Graduate Involved In FIFA Scandal
Nothing has rocked the in- ternational sports scene more than the news that at least 7 top level Federal International Football Association (FIFA) ex- ecutives were indicted for fraud and corruption charges.
In September 2014, Jef- frey Webb was one of several FIFA officials to call for the publication of the Garcia Re- port into allegations of corrup- tion surrounding Russia and Qatar’s bids for the 2018 and 2022 FIFA World cups.
On May 27, 2015, Webb, 50, was arrested and charged with corruption. In the indict- ment, 14 other individuals re- lated to FIFA faced charges, included racketeering, wire fraud and money laundering conspiracy. In addition to sen- ior soccer officials, the indict- ment also named sports marketing executives from the United States and South Amer- ican who are accused of paying more than $150 million in bribes and kickbacks in ex- change for media deals associ- ated with major soccer tournaments.

dent of the Cayman Islands Football Association. A banker by trade, he was arrested in Switzerland.
The news of Webb’s arrest was the talk of the Cayman Is- lands with the locals shocked he had been implicated in bribery and racketeering.
Webb is the head of the football regional governing body for North America, Cen- tral America and the Caribbean.
In 2013, he was named as Sepp Blatter’s anointed suc- cessor as FIFA President.
Webb is a 1983 graduate of King High School in Tampa, and also Hillsborough Com- munity College.

Gerald Dickens coached Legacy Preparatory Academy’s Boys Basketball team to another perfect 12-0 season.
The team remained undefeated and untied during the regular season and went on to remain unde- feated during the Central Florida Charter Athletic League Basketball Tournament.
