SISTER LENA CALHOUN
Homegoing Celebration for Sister Lena Calhoun, who passed away on September 1, 2022, will be held on Saturday, September 10, 2022 at 11 a. m. at Grace Mary Missionary Baptist Church, 3901 N. 37th Street, Tampa, Florida, with Elder James Reed, Jr., Pastor Officiat- ing. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery, 4615 E. Hanna Avenue, Tampa, Florida.
Sister Lena Calhoun was born on October 12, 1947, in Dougherty, Georgia to Ulysee Harris and Flossie Mae John- son.
Sister Lena Calhoun was pre- ceded by: her husband, Lorenzo Calhoun, and her mother, Flossie Mae Harris.
Lena Calhoun came to Tampa, Florida at a young age and joined Grace Mary Mission- ary Baptist Church and was a member there until her demise.
She leaves behind to cherish memories of her: with children, Lorenzo David Calhoun, Debbie L. Calhoun, JoAnne Calhoun Ferguson (husband, Billy Don Ferguson), and Belinda Cal- houn; grandchildren, James Andre Gill, Jr. and Ulysee Gill; four sisters, Johnnie Mae Reed (husband, Elder James Reed, Sr.), Lillie Mae Walker (hus- band, Joseph Walker), Essie Mae Palmer (Eddie), Leanna Gant (husband, James Gant); one goddaughter, Jessica Ben- nett and other relatives and friends.
There will be a viewing on Friday, September 9, 2022 from 3-8 p. m. at Wilson Funeral Home, 3000 N. 29th Street, Tampa, Florida. Due to the cur- rent CDC restrictions; we are asking that you use the visitation as an opportunity to pay your final respect. Mr. Sylvester Henry of Tampa, Florida passed away Saturday, September 3, 2022. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, September 10, 2022, 11 a. m. at Ray Williams Memo- rial Chapel, 301 N. Howard Av- enue, Tampa, FL 33606 with Pastor Gail Grace, Officiating. Interment will be held in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. MASK RECOMMENDED.
Mr. Henry was a native of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, and a res- ident of Tampa for 37 years. He attended the public schools of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, Polk Community College and Hills- borough Community College. He retired from the Florida De- partment of Corrections as a Correctional Officer Sergeant.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his life partner of 39 years, James Coleman; sisters, Donetta Henry of Northport, AL, Phyllis Wells of Tuscaloosa, AL, and Yolanda Brown (Medger) of Northport, AL; brothers, Oliver Henry, Jr. (Hermaine) of Arlington, TX, and Karl Lee Henry of North- port, AL; 26 nieces and nephews; special friends, Veve- lyn Bennett of Tampa, FL, Joyce Rule of Atlanta, GA, and Jessie Hudson of Bartow, FL; a host of great nieces and nephews, and many other relatives and friends.

It is with great sorrow that the family of Mr. Charles J. White of Tampa, FL announces that he passed away Monday, August 29, 2022. Funeral Serv- ices will be held Saturday, Sep- tember 10, 11 a. m. at First Baptist Church of College Hill, 3838 N. 29th Street, Tampa, FL 33610, with Dr. S. Evans Bur- rows, Officiating. Mr. White was a native of Tampa, FL, and a resident of Tampa for over 90 years. He at- tended Dolbyville Elementary School, Booker T. Washington Junior High School, Howard W. Blake High School, and is a graduate of Florida A&M Uni- versity with Bachelor of Science and Master’s degree in Educa- tion. He was a member of First Baptist Church of College Hill, Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Na- tional Rattler “F” Club and Leg- ends of Tampa Bay. He was employed as Head Basketball Coach and an Associate Profes- sor at Hillsborough Community College.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his most gracious and loving wife, Dr. Eloise Cabrera- White; three beloved daughters, Mrs. Yolanda Cabrera-Liggins (Bill), Mrs. Marinette Chavers (Quintin), and Monica White; four grandchildren, Alexis Chavers, David White, Ajani Liggins, and Chelsea Chavers; three great-grandchildren, Rah- mier Gardner-White, Ajani Lig- gins, Jr. (Destany), and Tobias Liggins; beloved nephew, Gre- gory Turner; and a host of fam- ily and friends.

DR. ERICA JOSEPH JACOBS SHEPHERD
Dr. Erica Joseph Jacobs Shepherd, age 72, of Dalton, Georgia, passed away Monday, August 29, 2022. She was born on February 20, 1950, in Cleve- land, Ohio.
She took guidance under Bishop Edwin Pete as her spiri- tual father and was the Pastor of Jesus Believers Church. She was the founder of Ted Line Min- istries, where she mentored and spread the gospel of deliver- ance. Dr. Erica Shepherd was a Captain in the United States Army and was Honorably Dis- charged.
She enjoyed traveling and in- terior decorating in her spare time. Dr. Erica Shepherd was affectionately known as “Sister Erica”. She lived in the Tampa Bay area for several years. She was the Pastor of Living Way In- ternational Church, Deliverance The Miracle Ministry and Break- Through Missions.
She is preceded in death by: her parents, Willie Jacobs and Constance Love Jacobs; brother, Brian Keith Jacobs; nephew, Brain Keith Jacobs, II; great nephew, Darius Buchanan; and sister-in-law, Karen Jacobs.
She is survived by: her loving and devoted husband of twenty- four years, Joseph D. Shepherd; sisters, Karen Douglas and Gwendolyn Jacobs; nieces, Sheena (Darren) Buchanan and Erina (Calvin) Sims; great nephew and great niece, Daron Buchanan and Brionna Jacobs; a host of cousins, in-laws, other relatives, friends, and the Ted Line Family.
Memorial Service will be Wednesday, September 7, 2022, at 11 A. M. at the Willis Funeral Home Chapel. Arrangements by Willis Funeral Home, Inc., Dal- ton, Georgia.
MRS. ANNETTE L. YOUNG
A Celebration of Life service for Mrs. Annette L. Young who passed away on Tuesday, August 30, 2022, will be held on Thurs- day September 8, 2022 at 11 a. m. at Wilson Funeral Home, 3000 N. 29th Street, Tampa, Florida 33605 with Rev. Anthony C. White, Officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memo- rial Park Cemetery, 4615 E. Hanna Avenue, Tampa, Florida.
Annette was born September 23, 1935, in Ocala, Florida to Luella and Nathaniel Strapp. She graduated from Fessenden High School in Ocala, Florida and later moved to Tampa where she was a resident for over 60 years. She enjoyed gardening, drawing, and fishing, but most of all, An- nette enjoyed spending time with her family.
Mrs. Young leaves behind to cherish memories of her with: husband of 61 years, William Young; six of her seven children, Vernon Brown (Karen), Eric Young, Gillian Renaker (Dwayne), Carolyn Young, An- gela Young and Brian Young; eight grandchildren, Eric Young, II, Xavier Thomas, Zachary Thomas, Ericka Young, Eric Daniel Young, Evan Young, David Renaker (Kasey) and Dylan Renaker; four great- grandchildren, Ely, Emari, Sofia and Brantley; her sister, Felicia LeCorn; nephew, Lawrence LeCorn, Jr., and a host of other relatives and friends.
