MR. WILLIE CARRAWAY
Homegoing Celebration for Mr. Willie “Big Kuntry” Car- raway will be held on Saturday, September 10, 2022 at 2 p.,m. at 34th Street Church of God, 3000 N. 34th Street, Tampa, Florida, Bishop Thomas Scott, Pastor, with Rev. Latisha Jones, officiating and Pastor Johnny Geathers, Eulogist.
Mr. Willie “Big Kuntry” Car- raway was born on June 29, 1977 in Gainesville, FL to the late George and Emma Car- raway. He was the fifth of five children. He departed this life on Saturday, August 27, 2022.
Willie attended Dixie County High School in Cross City, FL, Class of 1996. Willie moved to Tampa, FL in 1999. He began working for Dallas 1 Con- struction and Development in 1999 where he was currently still employed.
He was preceded in death by: his daughter, EmmaRose Carraway; parents, George and Emma Carraway; sister, Vivian Carraway Campbell; nephews, James L. Thomas, Jr., and Leon Blunt.
Mr. Carraway leaves behind: his wife, Niki Nicole Carraway; children, Chakijah Carraway, Amarris Carraway and MiKenzi Carraway; niece/daughter, La’Riyha Ohara; grandson, NaSir Thomas; siblings, Chris- tine Chilsom (Boyd), George Ann Carraway (Wayman) and George Carraway, Jr. (Marissa); nephews, Timothy Carraway, Casey Thomas, Shandon and Kaiden Crump, Julius Cab- bagestalk, John and Tucker Knight; nieces, Jermil Thomas, Nieche Carraway, Tatiana and Briana Morales, Jayden Crump, Jocelyn, Journey and Justice Cabbagestalk; great nieces, Nicole Thomas, Pe’Naye Car- raway and Peyton Stanley; fam- ily in love, Leila Cabbagestalk, John L. Crump. Amber Crump, Justin and Tyler Cabbagestalk; as well as a host of family, friends, and friends that be- came brothers and sisters.
There will be a viewing on Friday, September 9, 2022 at Wilson Funeral Home, 3000 N. 29th Street, Tampa, Florida, from 3 – 8 p. m. Due to the cur- rent CDC restrictions, we are asking that you use the visita- tion as an opportunity to pay your final respect. For your con- venience and safety, we have ex- tended our visitation hours.

White, Sr. Steve also played bas- ketball and began playing foot- ball while attending Westwood High School. Steve went on to become a standout football player for the University of Ten- nessee, Knoxville and eventually played for 7 seasons in the NFL, for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the New York Jets. Later, he worked as an assistant coach at the University of South Florida and as a writer for SB Nation, a sports blogging network. Steve also was a frequent guest on the Geoff Calkins Show.
Steve leaves precious memo- ries with: his wife, Zuleka Jones- White; his children, Samara White, Stephen G. White, II, and Nathan White; his siblings, Patrick (Petra) White of Smyrna, GA, Joan Bullock of Murfreesboro, TN; his mother- in-law, Earlene Richardson; brothers-in-law, Stanley K. Jones, Sr. and Hakeem Jones; his nieces, Patrice White, Perse- phone White, Jessica Bullock and Jocelyn Bullock; his nephew, Stanley K. Jones, Jr.; his uncles, Clark (Juanita) White Sr., Colbert Graham and Daniel Henry; his aunts, Rev. Agnes Henderson, Dessie White, Bettye White and Dorothy Graham; great-aunts, Etoyil Ford Long and Ethel Ford Terry; special cousins, Patrise (James) White Bennett, William (Frankie) L.      MR. STEHEN G. WHITE, SR.
A funeral service for Mr. Stephen G. White, Sr. will be held Saturday, September 10, 2022 at 2 p. m. at Allen Temple African Methodist Episcopal Church, 2101 Lowe St., Tampa, Florida, with Rev. Dr. Glenn B. Dames, Jr., officiating.
Stephen G. White, Sr. was born on October 25, 1973, in Memphis, Tennessee, the third child of the late Rev. Bruce V. White, Jr. and the late Mrs. Net- tye Hays Graham White. He passed away peacefully in his sleep on Tuesday, August 30, 2022, at the Moffitt Cancer Cen- ter in Tampa, FL after a lengthy battle with CLL (Chronic Lym- phocytic Leukemia).
He attended Westwood Ele- mentary school and graduated from Westwood High School in Memphis, Tennessee in 1991. He went on to attend the University of Tennessee, Knoxville and graduated with a Bachelor’s De- gree in Psychology in 1995. He was a member of Mt. Pisgah CME church in Memphis, TN in his youth where he was a mem- ber of the Youth Choir and the Junior Steward board.
Steve, as he was affection- ately called by family, began his foray into sports by participating in Little League baseball coached by his uncles, Clark White, Sr. and Oliver Phalen
