Pastors On Patrol Hosts Evangelism Training, Summer Revival
Pastors On Patrol will be holding an Evangelism Training and Summer Re- vival. They are reaching out to the community to partici- pate in these events.
Evangelism Training is Saturday, July 8, 2017, 10 a. m. The Summer Revival be- gins on Monday, July 10th, 7- 10 p. m. The training and revival will be held at Anoint- ing Christian Fellowship Church, 2108 E. Ida Street, Tampa. Rev. James Daw- son is the host pastor.
The focus of the evangel- ism training is to train pas- tors and other members of the congregation on how to increase their spiritual capa- bilities. The purpose is to in- crease the awareness of and engagement with Christ and the Gospel by increasing the number of people who can effectively spread the Gospel.
The training curriculum is based on the model de- scribed in the book of Mark, where Jesus spoke to the Samarian woman at the well.
Rev. Dr. W. James Fa- vorite, Pastor of Beulah Baptist Institutional Church,
REV. W. JAMES FAVORITE ...Chairperson, Pastors On Patrol
and Chairperson of Pastors on Patrol, is the Evangelism instructor.
“This training is special because the manner in which Jesus taught evangelism is what we should do. As we help evangelists to under- stand their roles and respon- sibilities (through this training), we help churches fulfill that commitment by doing what Jesus did,” Pas- tor Favorite explained.
Pastor Gregory Robinson of Revelation Community Church is the re-
vival evangelist. At least 4 choirs will participate, in- cluding College Hill Church of God in Christ and Beulah Baptist Institutional Church.
“Pastors on Patrol is hon- oring the age-old saying that we should never let the fire of evangelism go out. Our Re- vival is designed to spark the fire in current Christians and stimulate them to crusade and bring other people to the Lord,” Supt. Charles Davis, Pastor of College Hill Church of God in Christ, stated.
