Rattlers Final Home Game Is Saturday For Strike-O-Ween
Darius Bladek Earn MEAC Awards
Bethune-Cookman quarter- back Quentin Williams and offensive lineman Dariusz Bladek each have been awarded Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Football Player of the Week awards for their respective positions, an- nounced by the league office on Monday. Williams earned Of- fensive Player of the Week ac- colades, while Bladek was chosen as Offensive Lineman of the Week.
Quentin Williams, a 5-11, 209-pound redshirt senior from Tampa (Jefferson High School), passed for a career- best 386 yards and four touch- downs, connecting on a career-high matching 20 com- pletions out of an equally ca- reer-high tying 29 attempts. It was the fourth time Williams has thrown for 200 or more yards this season.
In passing for 386 yards, Williams became the first B- CU signal-caller to register at least 300 yards passing in a

game since Jarod Rucker (367) against South Carolina in 2006.
Additionally, Williams be- came the first player to collect 400 yards of total offense – adding 39 yards on the ground rushing, since Jimmie Rus- sell (426 yards) in 2004.
As for Darius Bladek, the preseason MEAC all-league se- lection is earning his first
player of the week award of the 2015 campaign.
Returning to the offensive lineup at the right and left guard position in the victory over Norfolk State, Bladek graded out at 95 percent on all assignments, while helping the B-CU offense tally a season- best 607 yards of total offense in the victory over the Spar- tans. The 6-4, 329-pound red- shirt junior from Kissimmee, Florida, helped block for quar- terback Quentin Williams to amass a career-best 386 yards passing, while running back Michael D. Jones recorded a career-best 136 yards and two touchdowns on the ground. In all, six different Wildcats scored on offense, as Bladek played on every snap of the game.
Bethune-Cookman returns to the gridiron Saturday, Oct. 31, travelling to Alumni Sta- dium in Dover, Delaware for a MEAC game against Delaware State. Kickoff is set for 2 p.m.
The Rattlers of Florida A&M University will play their final home of the season on Satur- day, October 31, 2015, which they have deemed Strike-O- Ween and Military Apprecia- tion Day. The Rattlers will take on the Aggies of North Car- olina A&T University at Bragg Stadium in a 5 p. m. contest.
The Rattlers (1-6, 1-3) are looking for their 2nd win of the season, coming off a bye week. The Aggies stand at 6-1 (4-0 Conference) and stand atop of the MEAC Poll.
The following week (No- vember 7th) the Rattlers travel to Virginia to play Hampton University.
