LeBron James Joins Michelle Obama For New Reach Higher Initiative To Fund Thousands Of Students Through College
Floyd Mayweather Spends $50,000 In Miami Strip Club
The First Lady’s Reach Higher initiative, among oth- ers, has been wildly success- ful since entering the White House seven years ago. Her callforanendtoalackof higher education for many has received critical praise whilst giving kids an incentive to stay in school and work hard.
Immediate education or employment after grade school has become scarcer for young people across America over the past decade. Obama’s campaign has al- ready provided opportunity for youth post-high school and now a new initiative is underway.
The First Lady enlisted Cleveland Cavaliers superstar LeBron James to join her and thousands of area kids in his hometown of Akron, Ohio last week in an attempt to showcase the importance of post-secondary education.
The event, which took place October 21 at the Uni- versity of Akron, was a mesh between LeBron James Fam- ily Foundation’s Wheels for
LEBRON JAMES and FIRST LADY MICHELLE OBAMA
Education, Akron’s I PROM- ISE Network programs and Reach Higher, according to a press release.
The much-anticipated af- ternoon came just months after the 4-time MVP’s foun- dation and UA announced their own initiative to finan- cially cover the full cost of a college education for thou- sands of current and future students.
The program works on an incentive basis and only awards scholarships to those who “achieve standard test- ing, attendance, community service, and other academic standards” as reviewed by both the college and the foun- dation.
MIAMI- It was good to be a stripper in Miami on Mon- day night when Floyd May- weather rolled into King of Diamonds and lit the place up with $50,000 cash.
Sources connected to Floyd said after he got his brand new $3.5 million Bugatti supercar, Floyd was still itchin' to spend more money. He organized a TMT outing with 45 people in his entourage.
Besides busting out the stacks of cash, we're told Floyd ordered 30 bottles of champagne!!
One source who stated that there was so much cash being thrown around, you couldn't see the floor, and staffers busted out brooms to sweep up all the bills.
The $50,000 cash Floyd spent is just the interest last month on the $280 million he made in his last two fights.

LeBron James Was Excited To Play In Front Of President Obama
PRESIDENT OBAMA
Bosh Returns, Heat Top Hornets 104-94 In Season Opener
CHICAGO -- President Barack Obama, perhaps the most famous Bulls fan in the world, was in attendance for Chicago's season-opening 97-95 win over the Cavaliers on Tuesday
Obama was interviewed during the game's telecast on TNT and thanked the NBA for supporting his "My Brother's Keeper" initiative, which helps young men of color.
"It's a program to make sure that all of us are sup- porting disadvantaged youth and particularly disadvan- taged boys," Obama said. "The NBA stepped up. Every team in the league is spon- soring mentorship pro- grams."
Following the game, Obama took to Twitter to
applaud the Bulls' victory. Derrick Rose said "it's always an honor" to play in
front of the President.
"It's really cool for him to come out and support us," All-Star swingman Jimmy Butler added. "Him being from here and all. I'm glad we got a win for him, of course. We kind of had to focus on the Cavs a little bit but I think everybody was looking over there and saw Obama over
there."
"He loves the game of bas-
ketball," LeBron James said prior to the Cavs' shootaround Tuesday morn- ing. "We all know that. It's an honorformetobeapartofa venue and a spectacle that the president would like to come and watch. It's an honor, for sure."
MIAMI - Throughout the preseason, the Miami Heat kept being questioned about whether they had enough 3- point shooting.
The answer, on opening night, was a resounding yes. Chris Bosh scored 21
points in his return after being forced to the sideline last February because of a blood clot and pneumonia, the Heat took control with a 26-6 run fueled mostly by re- serves in the second quarter

then held on late to beat the
Charlotte Hornets 104-94 in the season opener for both teams on Wednesday night.
"Guys made shots, but it's a testament to the ball move- ment and guys giving of themselves to make the shot easier for the next guy," said Dwyane Wade, who scored 20 for Miami. "And it helps when you've got Gerald Green on your team, too."
Green added 19 off the bench and Luol Deng scored 13 for Miami.
