Crack Cocaine Charge Gets Man 10 Years In Prison
CURTIS WILLIAMS, JR. ... Sentenced to 10 years, 10 months in prison
A Tampa man was sen- tenced to more than a decade in federal prison Monday.
He pleaded guilty to con- spiracy to possess, with the in- tent to distribute 28 grams or more of cocaine base, (crack cocaine). He entered the guilty plea on November 29, 2016.
U. S. District Judge Eliz- abeth Kovachevich sen- tenced Curtis Williams, Jr., 34, to 10 years and 10 months in prison.

ments, between January and July 2016, Williams and 24- year-old Brian Allen engaged in a mutually beneficial busi- ness arrangement. Williams supplied Allen with crack co- caine to sell on the streets. During the 7-month investiga- tion, undercover officers bought 128 grams of crack co- caine from Allen on 12 occa- sions.
Allen pleaded guilty on January 17, 2017. He will be sentenced on May 12, 2017.

Man Gets More Than 11 Years On Fraud, ID Theft, And Gun Charges

A Tampa man was handed down a lengthy sentence in federal court Tuesday. He pleaded guilty to tax fraud, ag- gravated identity theft, and possession of firearms by a convicted felon in January 2017. Larry Chance Cox must serve a total of 11 years and 9 months in federal prison.

Last week, U. S. District
Judge Charlene Edwards Honeywell sentenced Cox, 37, to 87 months (7 years, 4 months) in prison on the charge of being a felon in pos- session of firearms.
On Tuesday, U. S. District
Judge James D. Whitte- more sentenced Cox to an ad- ditional 7 years in prison. Judge Whittemore said Cox must serve the entire first sentence before he can begin serving 5 years and 4 months of the last sentence. Judge Whittemore allowed 2 years and 6 months of the 7 years to be served concurrently.
According to court docu- ments, Cox’s co-defendant, Anthony Michael Harris, worked at a pediatric gastroen- terology practice, where he had access to medical records that

contained the personal infor- mation of the patient’s parents and legal guardians.
Harris provided the infor- mation to Cox and Maurice Rahmaan then used the in- formation to obtain fraudulent credit cards and to file fraudu- lent federal income tax re- turns. They would then split the profits.
Officials said the informa- tion of more than 13,000 peo- ple was recovered from Cox’s bedroom when they executed a search warrant in April 2015. They also recovered an AK-47 assault rifle, a Mossberg 500 12-gauge shotgun, a stolen Maverick model 88 12-gauge shotgun, and a stolen Reming- ton model 710 .243 gauge shot- gun.
Cox had already been con- victed of a felony at the time.
