NBC To Do Remake Of ‘The Wiz’
Original cast of ‘The Wiz’ included Michael Jackson, Diana Ross, and Nipsy Rus- sell.
When the holiday season rolls back around at the end of 2015, television viewers will have the chance to see a new version of The Wiz. NBC has announced the network will air a live remake of the musical on December 3.
The original The Wiz: The Super Soul Musical “Wonder- ful Wizard of Oz” opened on Broadway in 1975. The play won seven Tony Awards includ- ing Best Musical.
The film adaptation of The Wiz was released in 1978. It featured an all-star cast includ- ing Diana Ross, Michael Jackson, Nipsey Russell, Ted Ross, Lena Horne, and Richard Pryor.
NBC’s decision to recreate The Wiz later this year comes on the heels of the massive suc- cess of the Hip Hop musical soap opera Empire.
Ciara Announces ‘Jackie Tour’; Comes To Tampa May 16

Get ready for those deli- cious dance moves from Ciara. After a six year touring hiatus, the singer-songwriter has announced the "Jackie Tour" in support of her forth- coming sixth studio album, Jackie.
"So Excited To Announce The #JackieTour! Been 6 Years Since My Last Tour! I'm About To Go INNNN #Jackie- Tour (Part 1)," Ciara con- firmed.
The "Jackie" trek will kick off on May 3rd in Chicago, IL and make stops in big cities like New York, Boston, Hous- ton, Atlanta, Miami, and L.A. before wrapping May 31st in San Francisco.
Ciara's upcoming album is slated for arrival in May 2015. The set is lead by the Harmony Samuels-produced single "I Bet." She is set to perform in Tampa on May 16.
‘Fast & Furious 7’ Expected To Break Records This Weekend

Justin Bieber recently revealed that he had to rework his new album because of his new outlook on life. Kanye West and Rick Rubin have reportedly been a part of this process.
“I’m finishing up the album now, working with Kanye and Rick,” the 21- year-old told USA Today. “I’m not rushing it, I’ll just wait until it’s totally done.” He continued, “[The album] was

done but it didn’t match up to where I am now and where my head’s at,” he said.
The much-awaited movie of the year, “Fast & Furious 7” aka “Furious 7” is all set to hit theatres Friday across the globe after months of waiting. It will be released in over 60 countries and in about 10,500 locations across the globe.
“Fast & Furious 7” is ex- pected to break records at the box office. Pre-sales of the movie has been great with MovieTickets.com reporting that it got 34% more than “Fast & Furious 6” and Fan-
dango claiming that it could become the “biggest pre-seller for any April release in its his- tory.”
Expectations on “Fast & Furious 7” is huge as it the final movie of Paul Walker, who is one of the lead actors of the film. He died in a tragic car accident in 2013 when the shooting of the film was mid- way, thus leading to a delay by a few months. Fans will be eager to see their favorite actor on the big screen again.

Despite receiving $3,000 a month from social security, in addition to a pen- sion from years of teaching in public schools in Brooklyn and Los Angeles, she is strug- gling to pay the medical bills and injuries sustained in a massive car crash.

News of the elder Fish- burne’s plight marks comes after her son distanced him- self from his daughter Mon- tana, who admitted he stopped speaking to her when she began appearing in porn videos.
Montana was last re- ported to be working as a stripper in Texas. Laurence Fishburne is worth an esti- mated $20 million.
Olympic Gymnast Gabby Douglas And Family To Star In Reality Show
Olympic women's gym- nastics champion Gabrielle Douglas can add another item to her resume: reality tel- evision star.
The defending all-around gold medalist and her family will be featured in a new Oxy- gen reality show debuting later this year.
The show, which will be co-produced by Douglas and her mother Natalie Hawkins among others, has the work- ing title 'Douglas Family Gold.' The series will follow the 19-year-old's bid to be- come the first gymnast in nearly 50 years to repeat as Olympic champion.
Douglas became the first African-American to win the all-around title when she soared to victory at the 2012 London Games as part of the 'Fierce Five' that also won the team gold medal.
