 Ravens Name New Head Certified Athletic Trainer
  Tampa’s own Adrian Dixon has been named the new head Athletic Trainer for the Baltimore Ravens.
Dixon has spent the last six seasons (2016-2021) work- ing for the Tennessee Titans, most recently serving as the team director of Physical Therapy and Sports Rehabili- tation.
He originally joined the Ti- tans as their rehab coordina- tor/assistant athletic trainer in February, 2016. In this role he designed and managed the re- habilitation and treatment programs for injured players, also overseeing their progres- sion back onto the field.
“We are excited to an- nounce the addition of Adrian Dixon as our New Head Certified Athletic Trainer,” Eric DeCosta stated in a press release. “Over the course of the last month, after meeting with multiple qualified candidates, it be- came quite evident that
Adrian possessed all the traits and skills necessary to help us become the best player wellness program in the Na- tional Football League. We were very impressed by Adrian’s servant leadership, his passion for the challenge and his vision for our training room.”
Adrian will work closely with Dr. Andy Tucker, the Chief Medical Officer, and lead a talented and respected staff of trainers, including Ron Medlin, Kevin Dom- booski, and Mike Blanken- ship, among others.
Dixon’s additional NFL experience includes serving as an assistant athletic trainer for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2014-2015), and as an athletic training intern with the Hous- ton Texans (2013), Buccaneers (2007) and Chicago Bears (2005).

while with the Texans in 2013. Dixon earned a Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy from Florida A&M University in 2013. He also holds a Mas- ter’s of Science Degree with emphasis in Sports Adminis- tration; plus, two Bachelor of Science Degrees in Exercise Science and Athletic Training
from Florida State University. Dixon is a dual-creden- tialed clinician in Physical Therapy and Athletic Training. Additionally, he is a certified strength and conditioning spe-
cialist.
A native of Tampa, Dixon
and his wife, Myrlande, have two daughters, Amelia and Anabelle; and a son, Amir. He is the son of Levi and Terri Dixon. Dixon has two brothers, Carlos Dixon, a 2002 graduate of Troy Univer- sity, and Sean Dixon, a 2007 graduate of Vanderbilt Univer- sity; sister, Danyelle Perry and brother, Dwayne Dixon.
