Tampa Chapter Of The Links, Incorporated Welcome The Eleven Emeralds To Linkdom
The Tampa Chapter of The Links, Incorporated welcomed 11 new members into its chain of friendship, recently.
The eleven women called themselves the ‘Eleven Emeralds’ named after the or- ganization’s official jewel.
The women were trained in Linkdom for 6 months through various workshops and events. They were given a Botanical Brunch in March to learn the history of the chapter, and meet all of the members of the Tampa Chapter. They also attended 4 workshops and had to do a community service project before being inducted. The women partnered with the University Community Center and participated in its Com- munity Baby Shower providing gifts and information to the women in that commu- nity.
On June 5th the group was treated to a cocktail party along with their spouses and significant others. On Saturday, June 6th the women were inducted into Linkdom. The Eleven Emeralds were also the special guests at their luncheon where they were given flowers and many gifts.
Joining the chapter are: Sandra Brookins, Liz York Cohen, Mary Dance, Kendra Frorup, Atty. Monica Williams Harris, Felicia Harvey, Judge Charlene Honeywell, Atty. Elita McMillon, Tanece Miles, Chelsea Oggero and Monique Stamps.
The group was taken through the Membership process by V. P. and Membership chair of the chapter, Atty. Renee Lee, assisted by the Membership Committee. Kay Andrews is the chapter president.
