Sick And Shut-Ins
Let’s remember the sick and shut-ins in our daily prayers: Bob Anthony, Rhonda Williams, Keith Ennis, Freida Washing- ton, Lydia McNeal and Shatayshia Brinson.
Prayer Request
Clarence Williams is asking for prayer for his
mother, who recently had heart surgery.
Meals On Wheels
Meals on Wheels is ac- tively seeking to increase their services in the 33619 zip code area. A post card was mailed to over 6,000 homes in Progress Village, Clair-Mel City, Palm River, Green Ridge Estates, Sam- son Park, Winston Park, East Lake and Orient Road. If you received this postcard, please pass it along to some- one you know that can bene- fit from their services.
It’s good to know that Meals on Wheels serves the sick and shut-ins with a hot meal, delivered to their door at lunchtime.
Meals on Wheels is look- ing for churches, groups and all community members that are interested in hearing about their mission in a presentation. They are able to provide a free lunch for in- terested groups.
Comments from a 73- year-old recipient: “I think it’s great that you are helping the elderly in our commu- nity. All of the food is great, especially the stuffed shells! I receive hot meals everyday and frozen meals for the weekend. The volunteers are so sweet. Most important, it helps my son by allowing him time to take care of his own family.”
Those interested in the meal service may call 813- 238-8410 or fill out the “Contact Me” application on line by visiting the website: www.mowtampa.org/get-a- meal.
