   MR. ANDRE TRENDELL ROBINSON
Mr. Andre Trendell Robin- son passed away Monday, Octo- ber 15, 2018. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Octo- ber 27th, at 2 p. m., at New Bethel AME Church, 16823 Spring Street, White Springs, Florida, 32096.
Mr. Robinson was born July 14, 1973, in Tampa, to Angelion Williams and Archie Robinson, Sr.
He was preceded in death by his beloved cousin, Roosevelt (Boochie) Walter Williams, Jr.
He attended the schools of Hillsborough County. Known as “Dre,” he could win over a crowd in seconds with a smile that illuminated a room. Many knew him to be more persuasive than a car salesman. He had a special gift with children. They loved him, and he loved them back.
He loved the city and the country. This city-country boy will be missed by many.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his son, Andre Tren- dell Robinson, Jr.; sisters, An- gelion (Michael) Honor, and Archeka (Marcus) Carter; brothers, Archie Lee Robinson, Jr., Austin Clements, and An- thony (Bernesha) Baker; aunts, Vanderlyn (Claude) Jones, Bobby Jean Robinson, Rose- mary Jones, Jennie Johnson, Claretha (Leroy) Jennings, and Anna (Ron) Owens; uncles, Frederick Robinson and Arthur Robinson; nieces and nephews, Michael Honor, Antonio Honor, Arquon Carter, Marcus Carter, Jr., Mar’yani Carter, Marquis Carter, Amari Robinson, and Ar’Rhana Robinson; cousins, Sharday (Leon) Chandler, Carla Garrett, Bershauna Moore, George Williams, Iyana Chan- dler, Leniya Chandler, Serenity Chandler, and a host of other cousins and other relatives.
The wake will be held Fri- day, October 26, 2018, from 6 p. m. until 8 p. m., at New Bethel AME Church, 16823 Spring Street, White Springs, Florida, 32096.
A 46-year-old man died early Friday after being in- volved in a wrong way acci- dent on the Howard Frankland Bridge. Another driver received serious in- juries.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the accident took place on the Pinellas County side of the bridge shortly before 6 a.m.

nard McGriff, of Pinellas County, was driving a 2010 Chrysler Sedan. McGriff
was traveling in the wrong way on the bridge when his vehicle struck a 2016 Ford Van, driven by Mark Joseph Reale, 44, of St. Pe- tersburg, in a head on colli- sion.
Both vehicles rotated and Reale’s vehicle was struck by a 2018 GMC SUV, driven by Ozgur Akan, 40, of Al- pharetta, GA.
McGriff died at the scene. Reale was trans- ported to a local hospital in serious condition. Akan was not injured in the accident.
The investigation into the accident is continuing.

    R. L. Pettermon
 Passes Away

A popular Gospel Legend within the City of Tampa passed away on Saturday. Ransom Lee Pettermon, Sr. passed away at home. He was 84 years old.
Pettermon, better known as R. L. Pettermon, was one of the founders of the popular gospel groups, R. L. Pettermon and The Heavenly Trumpets. The group per- formed on programs through- out the city and around the state, his son, Ransom, Jr. said.
Pettermon, an only child, came to Tampa at the age of 16. The native of Enter- prise, Alabama, was reared by his grandmother, until he came to Tampa to take care of a medical condition. His mother lived in Tampa. After the surgery for a hernia, he made Tampa his home.
Pettermon worked for the Seaboard Coastline Rail- road for 31 years before retir- ing as a foreman.
Pettermon, Jr. said his father suffered his first stroke in 1989. He subsequently suf- fered 5 more serious strokes and several mini strokes. However, he remained strong and continued with the group for many additional years, Pettermon, Jr. said. “Whenever he could, he got out and continued to sing with the group; even in the

wheelchair he played the organ.”
For about 10 years, he has been confined to home, and confined to bed for the past 2 years.
In addition to singing with a gospel group of men and uniting with others in the city, Pettermon was a promoter of young gospel talent in the Tampa community.
Pettermon and Mrs. Willie Ruth Pettermon are parents to 14 children (2 preceded him in death) – 10 boys and 4 girls. There are 29 grandchildren, 40 great- grandchildren and 2 great- great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 27, 2018, 10 a. m. at St. Matthew MB Church, 3708 E. Lake Ave. The wake will be on Fri- day, Oct. 26th (5-8 p. m.) with the family present 7-8 p. m. Harmon Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
