Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson partnered with an investor to buy the XFL for $15M nearly two months ago, and the league is officially coming back in 2022.

Patrick Mahomes’ Fiancee Brittany Matthews Is Pregnant

Patrick Mahomes and his fiancee, Brittany Matthews announced on Tuesday that she is pregnant and expecting the couple’s first baby.
The photo appears to be an early-pregnancy sonogram.
“Just taking a small detour to the wedding,” Matthews wrote on Twitter.
The announcement from Mahomes and Matthews comes less than a month after the Kansas City Chiefs quar- terback proposed to his long- time girlfriend. The two got engaged on Sept. 1, which was the same night the Chiefs got their Super Bowl rings.
Mahomes and Matthews have been to- gether since 10th grade and even have shared old pictures from their high school prom together in 2013. Now the two are expecting their first child.
There was talk that Vince McMahon could be plan- ning to buy the XFL out of bankruptcy at a cheap price after the league filed for bankruptcy protection in April. That obviously did not happen, and The Rock stepped in.
McMahon invested over $200M of his own money into reviving the XFL, which he first launched in 2001. This year’s reincarnation of the league played half of its 10-game season before things were cancelled due to the coronavirus.
The NFL has fined multi- ple head coaches through the first three weeks of the sea- son for not wearing face cov- erings at all times on the sideline during games, and the league says the penalties could become much more harsh going forward.
The NFL sent another strongly-worded memo to teams this week urging them to comply with all coron- avirus-related protocols on
game day. Failure to do so may result in suspensions or the loss of draft picks.
