 Coronavirus Infection
Cam Newton broke his silence Sunday as reports emerged that the New Eng- land Patriots quarterback was diagnosed with the coron- avirus ahead of his game against the Kansas City Chiefs.
The reported positive tests of Newton and Chiefs quar- terback Jordan Ta’amu forced the NFL to push the matchup back to Monday night, setting up a double- header for the league.
Newton posted on Insta- gram that he was taking the time to get healthy. His time- line back to the football field was unclear.
“I never will question

Jordan Brand is continu- ing their commitment to bringing awareness to Black issues and social activism by launching a new series.
REAL TALK will report- edly discuss racial issues, in- cluding education and racial equality. CNN commentator and activist Angela Rye will serve as host. She’ll be joined by Jordan athletes, influ- ences, journalists, commu- nity activists, and social justice experts on episodes of the program, which will air on Jordan Brand’s YouTube and Instagram channels. The first episode will debut on Oc- tober 7.
The conversations with
Rye aim to help people better understand how racism still affects the Black community, encourage voting, community involvement and push for economic and social justice reform.
“We know our commit- ment requires action, not just words, and we are already seeing signs that change is possible when inspiration meets action,” Craig Williams, President of Jor- dan Brand, said in a state- ment. “We will continue to do our part to create actionable and meaningful change to bring equal justice and op- portunity for Black people and all people of color.”
     LEBRON JAMES
More than 10,000 poll workers have been recruited by NBA superstar LeBron James' voting rights organi- zation More Than A Vote, and the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund (LDF), the non-profits announced last week. Their campaign We Got Next officially launched less than two weeks ago.
Janell Byrd-Chich- ester, the director of LDF's Thurgood Marshall Institute, told CBS News that they are "thrilled" by the number of people who have signed up and wants to keep it growing.
"We want more and we're going to continue to push and encourage people to sign up to be poll workers because it's fundamental to our democ- racy," Byrd-Chichester told CBS News.

LeBron James Reportedly Buys Epic Mansion In Beverly Hills
LeBron James report- edly just purchased his third home in California.
According to the Los Ange- les Times, the 35-year-old purchased a mansion in the
Beverly Hills Post Office area for $36.75 million.
The home is described as a “13,000-square-foot property, which sits on a 2.5-acre plot and boasts seven fireplaces, a pool house with two baths, lighted tennis court, and screening room.”
The mansion was owned by Lee Phillip Bell, the co- creator of the soap opera The Bold and the Beautiful. She passed away earlier this year.
The James family owns two other homes in the Brent- wood neighborhood for $23 million and $21 million each. James is also using his money for good. Back in June, Bloomberg reported that James and his longtime friend and business partner, Maverick Carter, received a $100 million investment to grow their media empire.
