BEAUTY UNLIMITED
BRIONNA
This week’s Beauty Unlimited feature, Brionna, knows it will take more than what the others are doing to be successful. and we welcome her with enthusiasm and open arms. Her very presence invites people who want to get closer to her, but she’s very careful about who she lets into her inner circle. A woman with strength and intelligence can sometimes be intimidating, but Brionna doesn’t allow that to change who she is. Congratulations to Brionna as this week’s Beauty Unlimited feature.
Deion Details ‘Perfect
Gentleman’ Expectations;
Plays FAMU Sunday In Miami
Deion Sanders has al- ways been a clean-cut ath- lete. One who believes in the mantra “if you look good you perform good,” and that’s not just on the field.
It also applies to the class- room and anything you do. Look the part and play the part is what Coach Prime is preaching to his team.
In a recent team meeting, Sanders talked to his guys about comportment and how he won’t tolerate certain things from his young men. Jackson State plays FAMU Sunday in Miami.
As JSU’s football squad the came together in the brand new team meeting room, Sanders was blunt and straightforward about what his expectations are for his team in the presentation department.
“I want you to listen to me clearly and succinctly. No slides. No armpits exposed.

No wife-beaters. Sit in the front of the classroom and be the perfect gentleman, be- cause when it comes down to it and you need help, that that teacher will remember your character and who you have been consistently in that class.”
Sanders Demands Proper Presentation Daily
“Now, make sure you shower before you go to
class. I don’t want to get a re- port that you was in some bull-junk in our apparel, rep- resenting us. Kids in the back of the class making noise, he’s free-styling to the whole class while I was trying to teach it with a Jackson State football shirt on. Not going to happen. When it gets back to me, it’s going to get back to your position coaches first, and then it’s going to get back to me. When it gets back to me, it’s going to be a problem.”
Odell Beckham, Jr. Open To Unlikely Reunion?
ODELL BECKHAM, JR.
Odell Beckham Jr. sure knows how to build drama.
The free agent wide re- ceiver sparked a bit of may- hem this week with some comments that he made about his old team, the New York Giants.
Beckham responded to a fan who commented under- neath one of his recent Insta- gram posts for Beckham to “Come back to New York.”
The former Pro Bowler was receptive to the message and wrote back, “that was [fire emojis]!! well [sic] seeeeee I do miss my damn squad. Wanted to win a ring for that city.”
Patrick Beverley
Trade Signals End Of
Russell Westbrook’s
Time With Lakers?
The Los Angeles Lakers’ acquisition of Patrick Bev- erley could have a secondary meaning for the team.
The Lakers on Thursday acquired Beverley in a trade with the Utah Jazz for Talen Horton-Tucker and Stan- ley Johnson. Not only does Beverley give the team a veteran guard who can shoot threes and play defense, but he could end up replacing Russell Westbrook.
Beverley and West- brook are longtime rivals, who also play the same posi- tion. The Lakers were already considering a Westbrook trade previously, and they likely have more motivation now to make a move.
The Athletic’s Jovan Buha reported that West- brook is unlikely to be on the Lakers’ active roster come
RUSSELL WESTBROOK
training camp.
“Beverley’s arrival
makes it more likely that Westbrook will be off the active roster by the start of training camp, either through a trade or the team sending him home a la the Rockets with John Wall last season, according to a source close to the situation,” Buha re- ported.
