USF Athlete Charged With Credit Card Fraud
Series Of Fires In West Tampa Ruled Arson
For the third time this year, a University of South Florida football player has been arrested. This suspect is charged with credit card fraud.
According to the Temple Terrace Police Department, Adrian Palmore, was ar- rested last Monday at the IHOP, 11710 Morris Bridge Road. He had allegedly or- dered food from the restau- rant early Monday evening and attempted to pay for it with a credit card that had been reported stolen.
Police said Palmore ini- tially said the card had been given to him by a friend. He later said he found the card at school and decided to use it

because he was hungry. Palmore transferred from Arizona Western Com- munity College and was a walk-0n tight end at USF. He was also an alumnus of Lake-
wood High School.
He was released from jail
after posting a $750 bond.
Officials with the City of Tampa Fire Marshal’s Office are conducting an investiga- tion into a series of fires. All of the fires took place during a six-day period and have been ruled as arson.
According to officials, the first fire took place at 1:42 a.m., on June 17th. Firefight- ers responded to 3903 W. Palmetto Street. Upon their arrival, they discovered a 2002 Dodge Neon afire in the driveway. The damage esti- mated to the vehicle was half of its value.
Nearly 48 hours later, the fire department received a call pertaining to a fire at 3909 W. Palmetto Street, three doors down from where the car had been set afire. This fire was reported at 12:23 a.m. on June 19th.

Police Search For Man Who Hit Same Business Twice
The Hillsborough County
Sheriff’s Office is currently
searching for a man they say
hit the same business twice.
The business was broken into
on June 9th and again on June 21st.
According to police, on June 9th, a Black man between the ages of 25 and 30, with short hair broke into the Qual- ity Car Dealer, 10712 Main Street, in Thonotosassa.
The suspect fled the scene in a 2006 Pontiac G6 belong- ing to the business.
On June 21st, the suspect returned to the business and forced entry into the business through a window. However, he fled the scene after the alarm went off.

Gun Goes Off As Uber Driver Fights Passengers

When firefighters arrived
at the scene, they discovered a futon-styled bed in flames. The futon was against the outside wall of the home. The fire spread to the eaves and attic space of the home, caus- ing major damage. The dam- age is estimated at $40,000.
During the investigation, fire inspectors noticed a pat- tern and issued a depart- ment-wide bulletin for Tampa Police to be on the lookout for suspicious activity in the area, officials said.
Shortly after 2 a.m., on Friday, June 23rd, firefighters were called to another home on Palmetto Street with a physical address of 2309 N. Harold Avenue. When fire-
fighters arrived at the scene, they discovered that someone had intentionally set fire to a trash can on the front porch of the home. The single-story brick home sustained some minor fire, heat, and smoke damage. This home is be- lieved to be vacant, police said.

The Tampa Police De- partment is currently inves- tigating the discharge of a firearm during a fight. The incident took place at Adven- ture Island Sunday after- noon.
Officers responded to re- ports of a shooting in the parking lot of Adventure Is- land shortly before 5 p.m. When officers arrived at the scene, they learned that a gun had been discharged, but no one had been injured.
According to police, Ju- lian Leon, III, an Uber driver, went to the facility to pick up potential passengers. However, when he arrived, a verbal dispute took place be- tween Leon, 29, Austin
Korb, 23, and 27-year-old Sylar Korb.
Police said the dispute took place over Austin and Sylar Korb being wet and Leon refused to transport them. As the quarrel pro- gressed, Leon began fight- ing with both of the potential customers.
Leon told police he was in fear for his life, and reached into his vehicle, and took out a gun as a measure of self-defense. They then began to struggle over the gun and a round discharged. No one was reportedly in- jured in the incident.
No arrests have been made, and the investigation is continuing, police said
Two Men Wanted For Theft Of Air Conditioners
The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is currently searching for two men in connection with the theft of several air conditioners. The thefts took place between June 9th and June 12th at a business complex. Police said the security cameras cap- tured the two men removing one of the units with a dolly from 13027 W. Linebaugh Avenue.
A total of 5 air condition- ing units were taken from the
complex. Two of the units were outside and two were inside air conditioning units.
The units were stolen from homes under construc- tion and are valued at $25,830.
