For Infringement
Tupac biopic has been surrounded by controversy. Kevin Pow- ell is now suing.
Kevin Powell, a founding staff member of VIBE maga- zine and former senior writer, has filed a federal lawsuit against the producers and writers behind the recently released biopic about rapper Tupac Shakur All Eyez On Me.
Powell claims that film’s script contains details about Shakur’s life that could have
only come from his exclusive cover stories for VIBE maga- zine. He also claims that scenes of a journalist, portrayed by Hill Harper, interviewing Tupac in prison are based on his actual inter- view with the rapper at Rikers Island in the late 1990s.
Powell posted a statement about the lawsuit Friday.

Future’s Emojis Will Have You Laughing
Safaree and Meek Mill are both exes of Nicki Minaj.
In between his “Nobody’s Safe” tour, Future has kept himself busy with a bevy of new projects. Last week, the rapper revealed “Futuremoji,” his custom line of emojis that will have your group chats filled with actual laughter.
FactMag mentions the emo- jis have a similar style to Bit- moji and are “noted as a universal emoji ‘language’ available on mobile keyboards with the ability to work every- where just as a regular Uni- code emoji.”
This month, the rapper also partnered with Fancy.com to host a boutique shopping ex- perience in Los Angeles for the rapper’s “Nobody Safe” Tour.
Rapper and Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood‘s Safaree Samuels was attacked — al- legedly by members of Meek Mill’s entourage — outside of a DJ Khaled event at the Penthouse Nightclub in West Hollywood Friday night (June 23). After escaping his attackers, Safaree walked down the street cursing at Meek.
TMZ’s footage of the fight shows Safaree standing out- side the club mid-conversa- tion when Meek’s SUV pulls up. As Meek opens the door and says, “What’s up?” off- screen commotion ensues, fol- lowed by the camera turning to catch Safaree being at- tacked by several men. The men chase Safaree down the street as he flees before they turn their attention to another man for another few punches.
Actor Terrence Howard has been dealt a legal blow in his court battle with his ex-wife after a judge ruled to reinstate his di- vorce settlement.
The “Empire” star and Michelle Ghent were married for just a year until 2011, and they subsequently became embroiled in a bitter legal fight over spousal support.
They reached an agreement in 2012, allowing them to finalize their divorce in 2013, but in 2015, the star successfully fought to have the deal overturned, amid claims he signed the paperwork under duress.
He accused Ghent of threat- ening to leak embarrassing infor- mation about his sex life to the
press if he didn’t grant her finan- cial support for three years.
Last week, justices from the 2nd District Court of Appeal in Los Angeles ruled “the passage of time negates Howard’s claim.”
Howard was ordered to pay Michelle’s appeal fees, accord- ing to the New York Post’s Page Six.
In 2012, Howard was ordered to pay Michelle $5,800-a- month in spousal support and as much as $4 million -a-year, de- pending on his earnings.
Howard is currently married to third wife, Mira Pak, and the couple has two sons – Qirin, 22 months, and Hero, seven months.
Future is on tour, but had time to launch his emoji line.
