Man Sought In Robbery Of Gas Station
Man Seriously
Woman Charged After Traffic Crash
Tampa Police are looking for a suspect who committed an armed robbery at a gas station early Monday morning.
Police said a man armed with a knife entered the Mobil Gas Station, 4242 East Busch Boulevard and demanded
cash.
The suspect reportedly took
the cash drawer and engaged in a confrontation with the clerk before leaving.

Tampa Police reported that a man was seriously injured in a drive-by shooting early Mon- day morning.
The victim, who was not identified, was shot in the lower stomach at Columbus Drive and 26th Street.
Police are searching for a dark 4-door vehicle with an un- known number of occupants.
No motive has been estab- lished for the shooting, and po- lice are looking for possible witnesses.
Injured In Drive-
On June 25th at 1:30 a. m., Hillsborough County Sheriff’s deputies reported that Shanika Jackson, 21, en- tered a residence at 1407 127th Avenue, and removed the car keys of the resident. She then reportedly took the victim’s vehicle without permission and fled the scene.
Jackson crashed the vehi- cle into the front window of an occupied apartment at 13426 La Place Circle. The vehicle also hit an occupied van.
Witnesses who heard the crash reported seeing Jack- son fleeing on foot. She was located later by deputies and arrested on charges of grand theft auto, leaving the scene of a crash with property damage, and driving under the influ- ence.

Judge Sentences Three To Probation In Hazing Death

On Friday, a judge sentenced
Aaron Golson, Benjamin McNamee, and Darryl Cearnel to probation in the 2011 hazing death of Florida A&M University Drum Major, Robert Champion.
Golson, McNamee and Cearnel were all found guilty in April and were facing sen- tences ranging from probation to 20 years in prison. Each got 10 years of supervised proba- tion.
The men were convicted of manslaughter and hazing in an incident that occurred on a band bus after they performed during the Florida Classic in Orlando at the Citrus Bowl.

No one inside the apartment was injured, and damage to the residence is estimated to be $10,000. Damage to the ve- hicle was estimated to be $500.

Tampa Police are investigat- ing a hit-and-run that killed a 60-year-old man.
Police said the man was hit by a dark-colored SUV on 40th Street near Crawford Street just before 2 a.m. Monday.
Witnesses told police at least two people were trying to help the man who was lying in the road next to a bus stop when he was hit and killed by the SUV.
As one witness pulled over to help the man, another was making a U-turning to come back and help. The witnesses
said as they stopped their cars, the SUV ran over the man and kept going.
The witnesses did not get a description of the driver or see the license plate, police said.
Police do not know why the man was lying in the road, and officials only say that he was a white male in his 60s.
Police are searching for the SUV that may have some type of front end damage.

The hazing, known as Cross- ing Bus C, involved beating band members as they battle to make it from the front of the bus to the back.
A total of 15 former band members were charged with manslaughter in the case. Sev- eral took plea deals and re- ceived combinations of probation and community service.
Earlier this year, Dante Martin was sentenced to 6 years in prison for his part in Champion’s death. Martin had been identified as the al- leged ring leader in the hazing, and he was the first to get a prison sentence.

The collection schedule for City of Tampa cus- tomers with a regularly scheduled collection day on Friday, July 3, 2015 will not be affected by the Inde- pendence Day holiday. Invasion
Tampa Police reported that on Friday, June 26th at 4 a. m., two unknown suspects wearing dark bandanas over their faces and armed with handguns con- fronted a man outside of a home at 4808 36th Street and forced him inside.
Once inside the home, police said the suspects demanded property from four other adults. One person was shot in the upper body.
While the robbery and shoot- ing occurred there were 5 chil- dren inside the residence sleeping.
The suspects were described only as two Black males in their 20s.
Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $3,000 for in- formation that leads to the identity and arrest of the sus- pects in this case.
