AIKENS
REV. GUTEMBERG PIERRE
A Homegoing Celebration for Rev. Gutemberg Pierre of Ruskin, Florida, who passed away on Thursday, September 13, 2018, will be held on Saturday, September 22nd, 2 p. m. at Evening Star Tabernacle M. B. Church, 3716 E. Paris Street, Tampa, Florida 33610, Rev. Jerome Griffin, Pastor, officiat- ing. The interment will be in Sarasota National Cemetery, Sarasota, Florida.
Rev. Gutemberg Pierre was born March 29, 1949 in Port Au Prince, Haiti. He came to the U. S. in October 1969. He resided in New York, where he graduated from John Jay High School, Brooklyn, NY. He worked and at- tended New York University. Later, he met the love of his life and married, Shirley Pierre. This union of marriage created three children, Guttenberg, Ronald and the lovely, Michele. He joined the U. S. Marine Corps in 1975 and the Army Reserve in 1980.
They moved to Tampa, Florida in 1988 where he resided for the past 30 years. He worked at the James A. Haley Veterans Hospital for 19 years. He was an ordained minister and faithful member of Evening Star M. B. Church, under, Pastor Jerome Griffin. He was also a member of the Male Choir until his health failed.
Rev. Gutemberg Pierre leaves to mourn: his wife of 45 years, Shirley; children, Guttenberg, Ronald and Angela Michele; grandchildren, Jahquis R. Du- vert, Tatianna and Leilani Ther- ameau, ChaRai’ Grant, Jahzel and Ronald J. Pierre, Jr.; sisters, Yvette, Taciana and Carol; broth- ers, Edward, Evens and Ernest; dear friend, Thomas Mack; a host of other loving family members and friends who he highly fa- vored.
The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, September 21st from 5-7 p. m. The family will receive friends during this time.
The family and friends are asked to meet on Saturday at the church for the funeral ceremony.

MR. ALPHONSO ‘SHEP’ SHEPPARD, SR.
A Homegoing Celebration for Mr. Alphonso “Shep” Shep- pard, Sr., who peacefully an- swered the call of his loving Savior as he departed this earthly life on Wednesday, Sep- tember 12, 2018, with his family by his side. A tribute of love serv- ice honoring the legacy of Mr. Alphonso “Shep” Sheppard, Sr. will be held on Saturday, Sep- tember 22, 2018, 2 p. m. at First Baptist Church of College Hill, 3838 N. 29th Street, Tampa 33610, with Dr. S. Evan Bur- rows, Senior Pastor, officiating.
Mr. Sheppard was a graduate of Middleton High School Class of 1959. He served in the United States branch of the Army. He worked for Hillsborough County Board of County Commission for 30 years until he retired.
Although Mr. Sheppard had many accomplishments throughout his life and ca- reer, “Shep” was best known for being an advocate for Black His- tory and Barbecuing. He enjoyed spending time with family and was a very loving person.
He was preceded in death by: his parents, William and Kath- eryne Sheppard; brother, Earl Sheppard; son, Terrence Nichols, Sr., and granddaughter, Antoneshia Sheppard.
He leaves to cherish precious memories with: his devoted wife, Edwina “Kitty” Sheppard;

MR. ISREAL NEAL
A Homegoing Celebration for Mr. Isreal Neal of Tampa, Florida, who passed away on Sunday, September 16, 2018, will be held on Saturday, Sep- tember 22nd, 11 a. m. at New Hope M. B. Church, 3005 E. El- licott Street, Tampa, Rev. Larry J. Mouton, Jr., officiating. The interment will be in Florida Na- tional Cemetery.
Isreal Neal was the son of the late John Neal and Ada Rogers-Neal. He was born in Tampa, Florida on December 6, 1929. God’s mystery of Love and Mercy sank the heart into a deep sleep and rest on Sunday, September 16, 2018.
He was kind, humble and obedient to the Lord’s com- mand. He attended and gradu- ated from the public schools of Hillsborough County.
Isreal spent 21 years in the U. S. Navy and 30 years at the Chase Manhattan Bank, in New York. He will be remembered as a loving husband and father and was loved by all. He will surely be missed.
He was preceded in death by: his sisters, Allene Heming- way and Essie Andrus; brother, Thessalonians Neal and son, Tony Richie.
He leaves to cherish his memories with: his wife, Betty Acey-Neal; children, Rev. Pamela James of Patterson, NJ, Shawne Acey of Charlotte, NC, Isreal Grant of Buckingham, Virginia and Darrel Grant of Patterson, NJ; grandchildren, Isreal Mitchell, Shannon James, Hanefa Ray and Dia- mond Acey; great- grandchil- dren, Jeremiah James and Isabella James; brother-in-law, James Edmond (Helen) of May- town, PA; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
The visitation will be held at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church on Saturday, Septem- ber 22nd, 1 hour prior to the service, from 10-11 a. m.

MR. HARRY PRINGLE
Mr. Harry Pringle of Tampa, FL passed away on September 12, 2018 after a brief battle with lung cancer.
Homegoing Services will be conducted on Saturday Septem- ber 22, 2018 at New Greater Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, 3325 E. Emma St., Tampa, FL 33610, Reverend Ronnie Murray, Pastor, officiat- ing. Interment will follow at Or- ange Hill Cemetery, 4900 E. Chelsea St. Tampa, FL 33610.
A loving husband, dedicated father, provider and supporting friend, Mr. Harry Pringle was 80 years old and a master craftsman with excellent talents that were God-given. He at- tended public schools in Sum- merville, SC. He joined the Masonic Lodge Hiram No. 43 in Miami, FL (1970-1976).
He was preceded in death by: his mother and father, Mr. Adam and Lottie Pringle; wife, Carrie Pringle of 43 years; daughter, Harryett Pringle; sis- ter-in-law, Margaret Pringle; and niece, Myra Mitchell.
