Tampa Improv Welcomes Comedy Duo
Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials - After hav- ing escaped the difficult Maze, the Gladers (Dylan O’Brien, Ki Hong Lee, Dexter Darden, Thomas Sanster and Kaya Scodelario) now face a new set of craziness once they flee to the desolate land- scape. I thought the first movie was very good and dif- ferent, but this one was more intense with non-stop action. Must-see! No. 1 at box office. Made $30M. (Budget $61M). ****
The Visit - Two young children (Olivia DeJonge, Ed Oxenbould) visit their grand- parents (Deanna Dunagan, Peter McRobbie) and soon find out that things in their grandparent’s lives are very creepy. Director N. Night Shyamalan (The Sign) made this film really disturbing at the end if you are a parent. Made $42M. (Budget $12M). ****
The Perfect Guy - A cor- porate executive (Sanaa Lathan) breaks up with her boyfriend (Morris Chestnut) and soon gets involved with a man (Michael Ealy) who seems almost too good to be true. The Perfect Guy. One of the two goes psycho when they can’t get her back. Re- ally enjoyed it! Must-see! Made $41M. (Budget $12M). ****
The Transporter Refu- eled - Filmed in France, for- mer special-ops Frank Martin (Ed Skrein) is set-up by a female fatale (Loan Cha- banol) and her dangerous sidekicks who want revenge against a Russian kingpin (Radivoje Bukvic). Ray Stevenson also stars as his
dad. This movie received bad reviews by the critics, but if you want to see an action- packed film, then this one is for you. Enjoyed it, especially the very end. Made $15M. (Budget N/A) ***1⁄2
War Room - Directed by Alex Kendrick, this film was about Priscilla Shirer and T.C. Stalling as husband and wife who turn to Miss Clara (Karen Abercrombie) for strategic prayer to help their volatile relationship. This faith-based movie was sur- prisingly very good. 2hrs long. Must see! Made $49M. (Budget $3M). ****
Straight Outta Comp- ton - The supergroup NWA (Niggas With Attitudes - Eazy E, Ice Cube, Dr. Dre, MC Ren and DJ Yella) emerge from the streets of Compton, California in the mid 80s and introduced the world to gangsta rap. The music and movie was about life in Compton with gangs, drugs, police brutality and how the group rose to fame despite the odds. Director F. Gary Gray (Friday) directed a masterpiece. Ice Cube (played by his son, O’Shea Jackson, Jr.), Eazy E(Jason Mitchell), Dr. Dre ( Corey Hawkins), MC Ren (Aldis Hodge), and DJ Yella (Neil Brown, Jr.) and manager Jerry Heller (Paul Giamatti) were all excellent. This movie should be nominated for an Oscar for best picture. You definitely can’t MISS this film based on the history of Hip Hop music. Didn’t feel like it was 2 hrs./30 mins. long. (Classic)! Made $158M. (Budget $28M). Five Stars

“I started booking my own shows four years ago, calling my series “Funny Business.” I started doing comedy after watching something on tele- vision in 2006, and I de- cided to try being a comedian.
“I write my own material, but I really didn’t start tak- ing comedy seriously as a ca- reer until 2008. Two years later, I founded Oh Baby En- tertainment.”
Chris Oh Baby said co- medians Eddie Murphy and Richard Pryor in- spired him, and he has been around comedy his entire life.
“I also have to give the “Def Comedy Jam” show credit for playing a big role. I started off as an actor on ER in the show’s 9th season.
“Fortunately for me, tech- nology has made it possible to multi-task, and I just fin- ished shooting a new com- edy show.”
Chris Oh Baby said the key to his success has been his ability to keeping going and stay consistent.
“In the future, I’d like to book theaters and get my comedy reality show off the ground.
“I’m happy to have had the opportunity to create a venue for aspiring young co- medians, but keep in mind you have to deal with a lot of
