WMU-Cooley Law School Holds Honors Convocation
Nominations Open For 2nd Annual FAM Awards
The 2nd Annual National FAM Awards is scheduled for the Children's Board on Friday, November 17 (the Friday before Thanksgiving), and shines a positive light on the good that people do. This event will honor the Parent, Sister/Brother, Son/Daughter, and Family Volunteer of the Year in an Academy Awards style cere- mony.
Nominations have been accepted since April 1, 2017, and will continue through November 1, 2017.
“We're currently accept- ing 1-minute video nomina- tions at ForTheFamily Tampa@gmail.com,” states Ward Cox, Administrator of For The Family Tampa. All videos need to be in English. All videos will become property of the agency, For The Family.
He further explained that every video will be featured on the web site and Facebook page to illustrate how the kindness of people strength- ens their family and the com- munity. The Awards Ceremony will be live streamed on Facebook/For- TheFamilyTampa.

Ladies Of Purple Passion Hosts ‘Denim And Diamonds’ Dance

Riverview, FL – On Wednes- day, July 12, WMU-Cooley Law School's Tampa Bay campus held its Honors Convocation recognizing students for top course grades, Dean's List, Honor Roll, and leadership and skills competition achieve- ments.

Lake also won a Leadership Achievement Award, along with classmates David Lee and Se- lena Neal. The award acknowl- edges students who have consistently, comprehensively and effectively provided leader- ship in a variety of capacities.
The Ladies of Purple Passion invites the community to join them this evening (Friday, July 21st) for their “Denim and Diamonds” Dance. This is their first fundraising event of the year.
The dance will be at the American Legion Hall, 3910 W. Kennedy Blvd., Tampa 33609, 8 p. m. until midnight. Blue jeans and bling is the attire for the evening.
Thelma Stafford, Clovis Alford, Vaular Dene Rouse and Alberta Harris will be there to greet you. (See ad in this issue)
