Accident
Semi Involved In Hit And Run Accident
The Florida Highway Patrol is currently investigating a hit and run accident that took place Tuesday afternoon.
According to investigators, shortly after 1:30 p.m., an un- known semi was traveling southbound on Interstate 75, just north of State Road 574 when the accident took place. For unknown reasons, the driver of the semi partially lost control of the vehicle.
The trailer collided with a 2009 Honda Civic driven by Ms. Sherry Jean Barfield, 34, of Riverview, and a 2010 Chevrolet, driven by Ms. Mary Regina Kable, 42, of Apollo Beach.
Ms. Barfield’s vehicle then struck a 2013 Toyota Pruis driven by William Arthur Keezer, Jr., 56, of Clermont, Florida.
All three drivers received minor injuries as a result of the accident and were treated at the scene.
The driver of the semi did not stop, but continued south- bound on Interstate 75. Anyone with information about the ac- cident is asked to contact the Florida Highway Patrol at (813) 631-4020.
